I dont know why people make comments about old people. If you go in tbe day youre going to find alot of people that are retired, therefore, old. Should they stay in the house because you dont want to look at them. I dont care who is there. Who sits next to me, etc as long as theyre pleasant. Ive lived about 30 minutes from the casino for 17 years and go quite often. But now that Im old and handicapped I have more comments to make how they dont make things easy if your handicapped. They have no family bathroom so if one spouse is OK and the other is in a wheelchair theres no bathroom for them to help the person out. Even the bathrooms that are handicapped accessible arent big enough to accommodate a wheelchair or scooter. Ost of the bathroom attendants dont even bother helping close the door behind you. The buffet is OK but their vegetables are under cooked and again if youre handicapped theres no one to help you get the food. You can ask them and they probably would but youre in a scooter, you can carry a plate, cant they just ask you. When they give tbe gifts out, that people gambled all month for, they have no line for handicapped or elderly people that cant stand a long time. Then they stand there checking your id, card, etc. If I want a gift that I played all month for why cant someone pick the gift up for me. Im retired so I dont go alot on Saturdays because its so busy. I cant walk so its alot to try to pick.up a gift and carry it to my car so I dont most of the time. Tbe few times I stayed at the hotel the rooms were nice and kept clean and they do give alot of comps. Their marble floor is crazy if youre old or walk with a cane or Walker because you can fall easily. The payouts, for the most part arent great. They should hire people that ask people that are handicapped at the buffet, trying to carry a gift to their car etc if they need help. Sure Im old and handicapped but I worked my whole life for that money so I expect to get some help if I need it without it being such a big deal. Im retired so

I honestly do not know how this buffet could get this many stars. I have been there twice and each time worse than the last. I recently tried it on 07-02-2015 to see if It was a bad night on my last visit. Nope, still pretty gross. Cost: (3) Adults (1) 10 year old- $64.75..Also no Senior discount for my 80 yr old mother who will never eat $18.50 worth of this buffet food. We only needed to take one bite to realize, we just been ripped off. I have had my fair share of buffets. Especially living so close to Las Vegas and Laughlin. This place has a long way to go. Steer clear and try Harringtons buffet. Any place has got to be better than this. Mashed Potatoes are like a thick paste (you have to beat off the spoon), Gravy flavorless Any meat is tough loaded with grizzle and bland (bring a sawzaw) Guacamole tasted Canned from their Quesadilla bar, better Guac from Redners freezers. Lettuce from the Salad bar warm and wilted, salad plates hot from the dishwasher( How Appropriate) Corn on the cob looks like all the corn was already eaten off.and the color of a pear food was in the hot plates so long its crusted on the sides. I could go on. I never write reviews but was absolutely blown away by the cheesiness of this place. And have never experienced people acting like a free for all when getting some dinner, Relax and wait your turn. Take what you will eat and not for the block you live on. People cutting in and out from lines piling food up 8 inches high. Like its their last meal on earth, Knowing your right next to them interested in one of what they just took 6 of, leaving a half a meatball for ya! The only good thing about this Buffet was the server thats been there since 2002. Very friendly and on top of our drinks, laughing with us and giving us her best.

I had planed on a dinner with my family at the buffet this evening. with The website advertizes crab legs on Sundays. When I called to ask a question on how young children have to be to get their dinner half price they told me 11 years old, why isnt this stated on their website. When I confirmed about them selling crab legs on Sundays, they told me they dont. In my eyes this is false advertizing. So now I have been sitting here on hold for the last 10 min making me late for 12:00 mass. Their also advertising cold crab legs on Saturday is this another misrepresented statement as well what is true on this website. Who is maintaining this website and who are they getting their direction from. Maybe Dover Downs Hotel and Casino might want to look into hiring better commentate people in their communications department so this never happens again. With the bad economy businesses should be more careful on how they handle everyday operations and pay better attention to the small details, like menus on their websites. I have now been on hold for the last 25 min waiting on a supervisor. It just goes to show you how some people really care. Im wondering now if the women who answered the phone is in fact really even getting some one to talk to me regarding this issue. This is why people are wondering why this state is spiraling out of control. Its all the incompatible people who dont want to work. I now cant go to church because i have been on hold since 11:50 am its now been 35 min and Im still holding. Unreal !! After I spread this blog through social media maybe then they will start caring.

one word: AWFUL Please go to Atlantic City if you are looking for a Hotel / Casino experience. I booked through Travelocity which listed terrific amenities and photos made it look like (and referred to it as) a LUXURY hotel. In reality, it is on the side of the road with our view from our "upgraded" 10th floor room being that of the shopping center across the street and parking lot. SIMPLY PUT: Health concerns prevented us from enjoying amenities that were listed as luxurious on website (jacuzzi and pool......both of which were incredibly dirty and TINY to the point where we would not put a TOE in !) and gym that smelled of cat spray (of all things, oddly enough???) Prevented us from our daily workout. Again, if we KNEW the hotel was so horrendous I would have booked us at the Hilton across the street where we are members of HiltonHonors and even so.......thinking about it, the poorly lit dangerous parking lot and clientele would not even make it worth it. We will NEVER return; in fact we are embroiled in a battle to get a refund. We were absolutely horrified upon pulling up and seeing that this was an outdated, filthy building among TJ Maxx, Target, Super Cuts, etc. and MOST IMPORTANTLY- do NOT risk your health and safety. Thats the bottom line. If we lived closer I dont think Id even go there due to the safety concerns.....staying there- not even a chance in HELL due to the health/sanitary issues. Please do not consider this filthy place.
