An excellent regional theater, good mix of popular productions - musicals, former Broadway and off-Broadway, sometimes a Shakespeare. One larger, semi-round stage with very comfortable seating; one smaller intimate venue often stakes new or experimental pieces but nothing avant-garde. Casts and crew all professional. Easy access from interstate. Two restaurants paces from the theater or a short drive to the wide choice of cuisine in downtown New Haven.

Production and acting is always top notch. My wife and I have been regular theater-goers for years. However, I can only give 1 star because of a truly bad experience with the box office. My advice is to be VERY VERY careful when purchasing tickets. They will NOT accommodate you after the fact without extracting a heavy price ($$$), so buyer beware. Worst customer service Ive been unfortunate enough to experience in years.

Two theaters that both make for initimate venues. The casts often include established stars from TV & film, or actors in their way up. Professional productions, and often a "talk back" conversation following the performance.
