I went here on a school trip. Of course we never go anywhere cool. Another dissapoint net we saw the play Oliver. Performance was confusing it bored me because I wasnt quite sure what was going on by the time we got half way through. The second you walk in THE SMELL IS DISGUSTING the theatre smells like smoke and it made me wanna puke old fashioned theatre was small and claustrophobic. They dont let you bring good in. At intermission they had everyone cram in the small area and has small folding tables with snacks. We werent allowed in the theatre with candy. No popcorn was given and they rushed us back In the theatre after we had one piece. I never want to go back the theatre was disgusting

Star Treatments

Mixed bag. Ill never go back. Theater was fine in and of itself, seats comfortable, staff was pretty nice. However, the play was abysmal. Like, so unbelievably awful, I knew 11 seconds, count them, 11, into the first song, that it was awful. Legally Blonde the musical should never have been made. The women playing Elle and Paulette could sing at least, but the rest of the cast screamed high school play. It was so terrible, all five of my party kept squirming and looking at each other in desperation. One of them passed out. We finally left at intermission singing "So long, Farewell" from the Sound of Music. What a waste of $175.....

This theatre was amazing. Saw "Oliver" there and it was Brilliant, found myself singing in my seat!!! The actors and actresses were so talented!!! I love the old theatre feel. Feels like I was taken back in time, to when architecture and the labors of it, really counted. I cant wait to see A Christmas Carol there, with my family!!!

Wonderful, I have been to many plays at this theater and I have never been disappointed. The prices are great, staff is lovely. I was amazed at the acting in "A Christmas Carol" absolutely wonderful. This is a great find if you dont feel like traveling into Manhattan.

Ive seen better high school productions. The dancing was so bad, and I was so embarrassed for the cast, I had to cover my eyes. One of the female singers, not Stephanie or Annette, screeched so loudly that I put my fingers in my ears. I couldnt wait to leave.

What a classic, you cant see theaters like this out side of Broadway. The caliber of show and performers are comparable to anything youd see in NYC and for half the price. The restaurants nearby make this an excellent location to come out for the evening.

Weve been to the Childrens Theatre many times with our kids over a period of years, and it has always been outstanding! The kids love it, and we do too. And, it is not expensive at all. We are very lucky to have it.

I recently saw my favorite show, Godspell, at this theater and it was absolutely amazing. A well rehearsed cast and great utilization of a such unique space. I cant wait to see what else comes from here.

Attended a showing of Aladdin with my almost 3-year old granddaughter. Fun presentation, masterful cast. Performers greeted audience at shows exits, which was a nice touch.
