If I could give my experience at Foxwoods yesterday (1.2.2016) 0 stars on this review, I would. We did not meet one nice employee that worked at Foxwoods, with the exception of our waitress at the Festival Buffet. My husband and I were gambling in the casino, and a beverage waitress stopped by to ask us if we wanted beverages. I asked the lady for two waters (one for my husband and one for me) and the lady said in a very nasty tone, "I can get you one water, and I can NOT get you two of anything. I DONT have enough room on my tray to bring back two waters" When the waitress realized that I was with another person who also wanted a water she yet again very rudely said, "I can get you both a water if theyre for the two of you." I told her that I was trying to explain to her in the first place while she was interrupting me that the water was for two people but we said to her just forget it and she just said, "ok whatever" and kept walking. Even people gambling near us thought the employee was WAY out of line. To make matters worse, we ate at the disgusting Festival Buffet where we were yet again approached by rude staff. I asked the woman seating the tables that night if we could have a table that was somewhat private and not on top of other people because it was my husbands 50th birthday and it was special day for him. She said to me in a very nasty tone, "I dont know about that, well see what we can do. Its a busy Saturday night so I dont know if thats possible." My aunt proceeded to tell her that throughout the entire day we did not find one nice employee at Foxwoods. She then responded to us by saying, "Well thats because were busy today", as if thats an excuse when we just spent thousands of dollars all day long between eating, gambling, and shopping. We heard several patrons at the buffet that evening complaining that the majority of staff they encountered that day were rude, and that they wouldnt be coming back to the casino. The festival buffet as stated was awful. The roasted potatoes were cold, the apple cobbler tasted like soap, the mashed potatoes were bland, the selection was very limited. The staff actually told people that they needed to stand in line a certain way, as if we were cattle or something. They werent even tactful about it! I overheard one gentleman up at the meat carving station ask if he could have a thicker cut of prime rib and the man cutting the prime rib refused and stated to him, "Thats the biggest piece I can give you." A slot machine was jammed in the casino closest to the FOX Theater Entrance and California Pizza Kitchen and my aunt had over $40 in it. She hit the call button on the machine and after a half an hour of waiting with no attendant coming over to help her, my aunt got up and found yet another employee that was rude. She started badgering my aunt asking her why it was jammed as if she knew. My aunt said to her, "I dont know how it got jammed, the message just said call attendant on the machine and it became out of service." The employee then answered her back saying in a very snobby way, "Oh, so it somehow miraculously just started to malfunction?" as if my aunt would make a machine with over $40 of her own money in it malfunction on purpose. These are just some of the encounters that we had with the staff there at Foxwoods. I was appalled that they could treat patrons in this manner. They say theyre only rude when their "busy", but have no problem taking our money. Is this really acceptable in your eyes? I would avoid this casino at all costs. We usually go to Mohegan Sun in CT, but wanted to try something different since it was husbands 50th birthday weekend. We will definitely be going to back to Mohegan Sun and I would recommend that to anyone looking to gamble in the area. We are NEVER treated this way at other casinos and have been gambling for decades. My husbands 50th birthday weekend was ruined over Foxwoods and their poor service. We are NEVER the type to complain, but felt we had to voice our concerns about this casino to possible patrons.

For their own good, Im telling everyone I know to stay away from the Foxwood Casino resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut, and even farther away from their Norwich Spa. Here is why … My fiance Linda and I recently visited Foxwood for the national C&S convention. I would spend a total of $10k on the convention, but felt it was worth the large sum for the opportunity to contact buyers from the nations largest chains; companies like Win Dixie, A & P and Bi-Lo. At the end of the first day, Linda and I made plans to meet two other couples for dinner at 8:15. It was to be a “working dinner”, to go over their large orders. We decided to schedule massages before the dinner. Lindas time was 6 pm and mine was an hour later. While Linda went for her massage, I decided to visit the steam room and the sauna. I went to the steam room first, only to find there was very little steam. I called the attendant, Tony, who told me he didnt know how to make it work. I decided to try the sauna, only to find there was very little steam there, too. Again, Tony didnt know how to fix it. It was now 6:50, and I was called to my massage. I went to my locker to get my iPod, only to find the locker door wouldnt open. I called Tony, who opened the lock after three tries. By 8 pm, my massage was finished. I grabbed a quick shower and returned to my locker. Again it wouldnt open. Tony finally showed up at 8:20 and tried for five minutes to open it. He called maintenance, but 20 minutes later when no one showed up, I asked to see a manager. A woman named Lindsey B. walked into the mens locker room. I explained that my finance and two important buyers and their wives were waiting on me for dinner. Lindsey informed me curtly that there was nothing she could do. When I asked if I could use her phone, she replied that there was no phone I could use. And left. Twenty-five minutes later, with no maintenance people and no locksmith, Lindsey appeared again and once again insisted there was no phone for me to use. When asked that she not charge me for the pain she had put me through she said rudely that there was no way she would accommodate me for my troubles. Here I was, naked except for a towel, with people who came from out of town waiting at the dinner table. And my cost for this charade was $10K! On top of that, those two buyers I was supposed to meet canceled their orders – so I lost even more money! I am telling you this, not because of the money, but because of the treatment dished out by the employees. I learned that this same situation happens at least twice a day, and it could happen to you. It is unimaginable that a high-class hotel would treat guests this way.

Sat 6-21-14 my husband & I checked in at Two Trees Inn. Left to meet friends at main casino. After shuttle ride I got off the van & immediately felt dampness on the back of my left leg. I thought I sat in water that must have been soak into the clothe van seat. I went into bathroom & I saw a large brownish colored stain. I had to take my pants off. I put some water straight from the faucet on my jeans, it was rinsing out & you could see a red color. It was blood. At that moment I the cleaning lady said "Is that your blood?" I said "No." She said "Stop touching it! Wash your hands!" I got nervous & stressed out. I had been exposed to a strangers blood. I called my husband, who was standing outside of restroom & told him that blood is soak into my jeans & I can’t put them back on. I called my friend & she got security to come to restroom. Security, was very helpful at that moment in time. She took a picture of my jeans and bagged them & asked if I wanted them. I said no. She was very empathetic & told me that my jeans would be replaced. Security gave me the number to Risk Management. Monday, 6-23-14, I called. I spoke to Cori Toscano. She told me that in order to replace my jeans I would need to send her the receipt. I didnt have it anymore. I kept calling all week to get an answer as to whether or not they would replace my jeans. Cori & her manager had no sympathy for me even when I explained to her that I have been stressed out I sat in a stranger’s blood & it touched my skin! I had told her that I would need blood work every 3-6 months for the next year to make sure I didnt catch any viruses from this exposure. I had to call again on Friday morning, to see what they could do. W/out a receipt they thought $65.00 would suffice. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of interest & customer service given to me. There was no empathy. At no time did anyone even seem interested in why there was blood soak into the shuttle seat to begin with. I wrote a letter to the CEO of Foxwoods, the General Manager of the Two Trees Inn and the Transportation Office and I didnt hear from anyone in those offices. They forwarded my letter back to Cori and she wrote to me that she would review any bills I have in regards to blood work I get from the Drs and then told me if I plan on doing anything further I can take it up with the Tribunal Counsel and that I had a year to do so. It is clear to me that they do not value me as a customer. And there are many other places where my money can be spent. I wouldnt give that place another penny.
