It was cute when we walked in but after that it all went down hill. We asked for a drink menu and the bartender told us the entire list was out of date due to "new owners". I asked for a bourbon cocktail and she said she really couldnt make anything except maybe a Manhattan. We got 2 of those. Im 99% sure there were no bitters used. We were going to be polite and just order a beer before leaving, but the ONLY bartender stepped outside to chainsmoke with a friend leaving the entire bar unattended. When she finally came back in she reeked of smoke and could be heard continuing to talk badly about the new ownership. Needless to stay we did not stick around for that beer. Maybe itll get better when these new owners decide to stock the bar. I think John Taffert needs to make a visit.

Visited this establishment on a Friday evening, sat down & waited, waited & waited while others continued to be serverd, someone did eventually come & remove empties off our table after 15 mins, but still no service!! So unprofessional. We finally left after about 30 mins because I wanted to make sure that they were actually ignoring me It was pretty obvious that we would not be served, I guess you have to be a white kinfolk married to your cousin to to be welcome here, it is unfortunate that this place is on Main St, you give Manitou Springs a bad name

I might be biased since I live about 300 feet from this bar, but Kinfolks is one of my favorite places in Manitou to drink and relax. The owners/staff are great. The vibe is comfy and laid back. The live music skews towards the crunchy side of the spectrum but they also get some killer blues and bluegrass bands. They have a good rotating beer selection. They dont have a kitchen, but they do serve a variety of little meat pies that are delicious and very filling.

I came for open mic night after moving back to Colorado to see an old friend perform, and I was sorely disappointed in the bartenders. The atmosphere was lovely, but service turned me off completely. I was expecting a friendly welcome back from this hippie establishment but I guess theyre cellphones and rude stares were more important than their customers. Needless to say we will be finding another place to watch talented people perform.

I hung out at kinfolks tonight just to watch some open mic. I am of age and ordered a beer, but the staff was extremely rude and disrespectful to the customers just trying to have a good time. Not to mention the service was extremely slow for the price I paid. Extremely disappointed
