This place must have undergone a remodeling or updating recently -the other reviewers here say that its dated.... but its very new. the seats were super comfortable, even for a barrel built 250 lber like myself. Most of the independent theaters ive been to in the front range were very old, and the seating was horrible.... but not this place, it was like a home theater- plush, comfy. The offerings for snacks and beverages are far more refined that youll find at your run of the mill theater. The bathrooms were spotless clean. We viewed Muscle Shoals here at a 9:30pm on a Sat. night. The crowd was moderate and the movie started right on time. The people working the counter were actualy persons, with personalities and their passion for film was apparent through their guiding of people who may have been on the fence about which film to see. Also - I really liked the lower ticket price... this place is a way better value to view inde films than anywhere else - even at a 150% of the $10 ticket price.

"nothing" must be naive and dense: almost any theater that spots your "outside" water and snacks will ask you to dispose of them or leave. Its posted on the door and at the ticket counter. Just put everything in a tote bag and dont take it out until the theater lights go down. OK? As for the Chez, great movies, great staff, but it is so uncomfortable that unless I really want to see something on the big screen, I wait for the DVD. Such a shame that its coming up on a big anniversary and the seats will probably be reliably broken down.

Yesterday was my first time that I went to this movie theater to watch a foreing movie that I wasnt able to find in any other place, I was concerned about the location of it but, it is worth it and this is one of the few movie theathers that plays independent films. It is nice, clean and the people attending are very corteous and polite. Consider this as a good option, you will not be disappointed. And the movies this movie theater plays are awesome.

The biggest problem with this otherwise great theater are the patrons. Many of them talk incessantly during the movies, just like they are in their own living rooms. Even when they are told to be quiet, they dont. It is very distracting, not to mention very rude. I should mention that these are older people and they should know better, but it does no seem to matter. They just continue to talk.

This is a fabulous little arthouse cinema that is committed to playing all of the films you cant see in the mainstream theaters, and this theaters taste in film is great. My boyfriend and I have a ritual: Dal (the best in Denver) at the Indian restaurant in the same plaza, then a film at Chez Artiste.

Just went to this theater for the first time to watch Bernie (Jack Black film). The film was great. It is an old theater and pretty small, but one thing I liked was that the host came out before the movie started and introduced it to the audience. Not your typical Regal or Mann experience.

Ive been going to shows at the Chez Artiste for at least 15 years. The staff, theatre, and movies that are shown there are wonderful! Also, another reason is, I love seeing your employee, Mikie. He is a wonderful person! A "class act"! I think of him as a friend after so many years.

Awesome small theater showing indie films. Saw Spotlight here and it was great! Great sound and image. Seats were plush leather, almost like sitting in a couch. Tickets and concessions were priced a bit steep, but well worth it.
