This course was probably once a very nice and exclusive course with beautiful views of the front range, it is far from that now. While this course has some very challenging, beautiful holes and spectacular layouts, I would rate this as nothing more than a run-down, out of money course that can barely seem to afford fertilizer and weed control. The cart paths resembled worn out cow paths with large chunks of concrete missing and washed out sections, the course was littered with dandelions, weeds and barren spots devoid of any grass, in the middle of the fairways, the bunkers were more like concrete, every teebox sign was rotting from the ground up and top down, and the scorecards didnt even have a course map/guide to help someone who has never played before understand hole locations and layoyut. While I secured a discounted rate ($44) to play 18 holes, I would have much rather spent another $20-$30 to play a course that is in a decent state of repair. The staff was very accomodating and kind, however, this course resembles more of a run-down municipal course, than a country club....I would rate the overall experience similar to playing Harvard Gulch, only not as nice.

I have grown up playing plum creek golf course, years ago it was a much better course than it is now... The prior owners must have been struggling with business because they really let the place go, the paths for the carts are destroyed, the fairways and greens have been neglected. The owners of Bear Dance (a fantastic, and really expensive course in larkspur) bought this course and I am optimistic they will bring it back to quality. Prior to the Bear Dance folks buying it the old owners were trying to sell the land to developers, which as you could imagine was not received well by the people who paid top dollar to have their house on the course. I think that is one big reason they just seemed to give up.

Great facility. Has vastly improved since being bought out by Bear Dance several years ago. The entire staff treats golfers with respect, the cart staff is always friendly and willing to wash your clubs after your round. The practice facility is also great. With chipping areas, putting areas and a full range. Food and drinks at this place are also great. The burgers are something else. Highly recommend this course for all levels of play as there are 5 selections of tee boxes. The signature par three is probably one of the most unique holes you could ever play. Highly recommended. Best course for your money in greater Castle Rock area, hands down.

This fall the course is in the best shape of 2011, according to the course marshal I played with. The Fairways and greens are very thick green and well taken care of. The rough and all other side areas are clumpy grass and dirt. This makes this difficult Pete Dye course play even harder. I played one of these areas as ground under repair and took a drop. I played for $30! last minute deal i bought on golf now dot com. This course was a great country club and it plays like one if u keep it in the fairway and hit the greens.

lets be honest, if you cant water the course at this point in the season w/o mother nature, then disclose it. Golfers expect the fairways to maintained, and after playing yesterday (9/13/15), it was obvious only the greens are being watered. As the owners, you have a responsibility to folks spending $70 to chose your course among a dozen others w/in 1/2 hr drive time. Dont charge the full monty and expect a glowing review. Remember the 80/20 rule.

I had an opportunity to speak with the course manager before playing Plum Creek for the first time. He RAVED about the course, saying it was better than Red Hawk Ridge by 5 to 1 (those were his words). The over all condition of the course was poor and it appears that one really cared enough to take car of it. The small lake on 18th hole was full garbage and cemented my view that this was one of the worst courses Ive played on.

Maintenance and upkeep are weak. Course is in decent shape and it is a typical Pete Dye design that is overly penal, especially from Championship tees. If they spent money to renovate the clubhouse, get rid of the weeds and trim the bushes and trees it might be worth going back. Maybe the new ownership will actually care about what was probably once a great place to go.

Rented a Wilson lefty set of clubs. They were brand new. I hit them well but felt bad returning them dirty. Course was pretty and challenging. They were recently purchased by Bear Dance. Hopefully the new owners add a course guide or more yardage markers. It was a bit difficult to get a range on a shot when it was cart path only. Good scenery and nice new golf carts.

This course has come a long way back from where it had fallen. The greens are in great shape a little slower than I like but overall they roll true. Most of the fairways are totally recovered but you can see a drastic improvement. I was leery about playing this course again because of what it become, but It is worth playing and the staff is professional!

I absolutely love this course. Great views, beautiful fairways, and just the layout has a lot of character. The actual infrastructure of the course (e.g., cart paths) are not in good shape, but that doesnt matter. It used to host tournaments in the old days. Its a bit of a drive from Denver, but try to play here at least once or twice a summer.

The new owners have done a fantastic job with the course. As a high school golfer in the 1980s, I got to play Plum Creek once per year and it was my favorite course in Colorado. After a couple decades of mismanagement, the new owners are bringing Plum Creek back to be a GREAT Colorado golf course. Welcome back.

Played here for the first time back to golf in over 15 years. Great setup. My understanding is that it was a TPC course in its day. Great lies everywhere. challenging approaches & great greens. The pro shop was small, but had some quality products. I definitely will be back and I will recommend to friends.

I just golfed here for the first time a few days ago and it was an excellent course. For those people who have easy access to the course, the membership fees are at a very reasonable price. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks for a very relaxing day!!

Good local golf course. The fairways and greens are fair though definitely some improvement needed. Bear Dance Golf Club just acquired this golf course which should really bring it to the next level. I look forward to the improvements coming.

This was my first time playing this course and I thought it was amazing. It was more difficult than other courses I have played, the challenging holes were fun for me. Beautiful views and well designed golf course. I will be returning soon.

New ownership has made for a first class experience. The course is in great condition and the efforts made by the staff and groundskeepers are amazing. The greens fees put this course near the top of its class for front range golf!!!
