I was almost kicked out of this establishment by the owner for sitting down at a table and not immediately ordering a drink. The girl that was waiting at said table for me to arrive was offered free coffee merely moments before I arrived, and that was not the first time that type of favoritism was shown. That being said, there are numerous similar establishments within a couple of blocks that offer better products, for less money. I will be sure to never return...

The laughing goat is no laughing matter. The few times we tried to get even just friendly service were disappointing, to say the least. The "baristas" (and it is a shame to use the word here) have absolutely no clue about how to pull a good shot ! but more so have a very bad attitude about it to! No knowledge whatsoever about products and making you feel bad you want some quality espresso. Both thumbs down on this establishment.

This is a college spot. They serve both beer and coffee and if you go anytime in the afternoon the entire place will be filled with students studying. Honestly, nothing at the Laughing Goat is as good as Boxcar, Amante, or Spruce, but I decided to give it 3/5 stars because it is a great place to work. They have tons of tables and a lot of them have extension chords so that you can keep your electronics charged.

Less hippy than the name and a brief glance at the exterior would suggest, this cool little coffee shop/music venue boasts the most friendly staff, an excellent coffee (one of the best Ive ever had outside of NY and SF in the US), wifi and plenty of table space - relaxed atmosphere where you can use your laptop, bring in your dog or, as one chap was doing, finish your oil painting. Very nice.

They deserve 5 stars for having the best coffee in town. But, be warned customers definitely come in two categories: if youre "one of the cool kids" youll be welcomed with open arms. If your hipster cred isnt in order, depending on who serves you, expect a pained Im-way-too-cool-and-pretty-to-be-serving-this-scrub-coffee look down the nose. Doesnt matter how often you come in.

The Laughing Goat is always packed, but theres a good reason for that. They have food and tons of different teas, coffee drinks, and prepackaged drinks. Tons of tables, but it can be hard to find a free table near an outlet. My only complaint is sometimes they play music annoyingly loud. In the evenings there is live music and they also serve wine and beer. Its a win-win!

Its a great place for a cup of coffee and a table to work at during the day, but dash your plans of getting a lot done if youre there when the music starts. Local and traveling talent take the stage at 8pm and really light the place up. Youll want to grab a beer and join the crowd in for some tunes. I give the place 7.5 stars. Im saving that last half for something special.

Ran into this gem while exploring Pearl Street and I couldnt be happier that I did! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. I enjoyed a blueberry hibiscus iced tea, as well as a vanilla ice coffee in The Laughing Goats outdoor space. I highly recommend the blueberry hibiscus tea as a refreshing drink on a hot day!

I just went to the Laughing Goat at the Norlin Library and was severely disappointed. It was overpriced, crappy coffee (I bought a mocha that the barrista did not even bother to mix, so it was half coffee, half chocolate syrup) and pastries, and I was served by a barrista with a profusely bleeding hand. That he put ALL over my drink. Not cool.

I was very unimpressed with this place. I have been several times now and each time the person behind the counter is downright unfriendly and not helpful. When I go to a coffee shop I am looking for a laidback, friendly feel, and I did not find it here. I wont be going back any time soon.

Everything you could want from a coffee shop! Good coffee, amazing tea options, and a decent space to work in during the day. My favorite time to visit is at night with regular live music (check out their calendar online). The music is always fantastic. They also serve beer and wine.

I go here often for poetry and find it relaxing. The staff is cool and friendly. The drinks are good and they have a variety of them to choose from. They choose nice art to put on the walls. The only issue I have is I have to connect to wifi and my cell service doesnt work here.

Best americanos in town! I like to go here in the evenings in the summer and drink a glass of wine (or 3), listen to the live music, and sit on the patio. They have pretty tasty food selection too. Everyone is always super friendly. I have never had a bad experience here in any way.

One of the better places to grab refreshments in Boulder. Solid decor and wifi if you are trying to get some work done. They offer solid happy hour prices and have live music every night. The music is a huge range - including but not limited to funk, folk, jazz, indie, etc..

I love the cambric Earl Grey teas here. The poetry and music tends to be really good and the servers very friendly. I just started coming here for late night hot beverages but Im going to keep coming back. They serve beer and wine for those who like those things as well.

its a little roudy at times (due to live music.... and sometimes too loud radio) but besides those the espresso is great- diverse local artwork, cute girls, live music, outside seating, plenty of seating (Trident doesnt). Its a great shop. Hit it up. Open till 11 too.

We simply love coffee! Ask any Australian we are definitely coffee snobs. My husband and I have lived in Denver now for 2 yrs. We had just about given up until we found The Laughing Goat. The roast is not too light or too dark, just perfect. Very European.

One of the best coffee houses on the south side of Pearl Street Mall. Great nightly music scene, bringing in anything from jazz , indie, singer songwriter and spoken poetry. Coffee is very good with local beers on tap. Friendly Baristas plus the food is good too!

The goat is the prototypical third wave coffee joint. The coffee is excellent, the baristas are well trained, theres a good pastry and food selection. Biggest downside for me? The laptop crew owns the place during the day and it can be tough to find a seat.

One of the best coffee houses in Boulder. Great, rich coffee. The space could use a little more elbow grease on the cleaning front but I dont think the staff sees that. The rear of the place gets a bit stuffy as there are no windows or doors near the rear.
