I grew up just around the corner on Marlin Place near Fallbrook Avenue. At the time the area on the southwest side of the park that now contains what appears to be a soccer field was a privatly owned parcel with a huge oak and several pomegranet trees. My childhood friend and I would spend hours climbing the oak and swinging from a rope while munching the purple pomegranite seeds. As far as I can remember the park buldings were what grew from the original stage coach stop named after the local native-American word canoga meaning "watering hole." I cannot validate this but it is what I heard as a child. I have many fond memories of this place and am very glad to see it has been preserved through the years.

Zarindukht Mastonzod

The center has lots of pros, such as a few playgroynds, including infants zone, spacious shadow fields for different games, speacial area for celebrations, picnic area, water faucet and ice cream truck etc. The only con to my opinion is its not being fenced. If they could fence the center, itd be safer and more secure and it would greatly reduce chances of accudents. Because kids are impatient and fast to run around and explore everything and the parking lot is right in front of it from one side. From the other side it is close to the open traffic and unprotected. The parents would have a more peaceful mind then to bring their kids.

Nice, big park just down the street from Westfield Topanga mall. Its full of kids on weekends, and there are plenty of play areas with a lot of different activities. Families hold their birthday parties here; kids ride their scooters and bikes, people work out, play basketball, and theres always an ice cream truck parked there.

My grandparents live nearby, so I basically grew up going to this park. Havent been in a while, but recently came with our nephews. They have done some upgrades, and the park is well maintained. The bathrooms are clean, and there is plenty of parking.

Nice place, nice park, great classes. It has a big baseball field, a soccer (green area), a basketball court and a fairly nice playground for older and for younger kids. However, if you want to go on weekends, its crowded and noisy with all the parties.

This is a really great park. They have a really big play structure area that my son loves. Theres also a lot of field space to run around or play football or other field games as well as a basketball court.

This is a great little park for the family. There were an array of different community events, friendly people, open space. Made me want to have kids, almost.

Nice park, a safe place to bring the whole family. It even has a little ice cream van with goodies parked there !!

Was there in the 70s with my best friend bill lewis loved it. Can not find him anymore but he worked there then.
