My Husband and I have been looking for a place in Central Florida to go where one can listen to live jazz music and have a glass of wine and a small bite. Well, finally we found it. Jazz Tasting is just the place. It almost gives the feel of being in New York or Chicago. It is a small intimate place with a sophisticated flare. (But not stuffy definitely fun). The owner Rory greets people at the door and mengles throughout the crowd making sure your needs are met. You can tell he takes time to know his patrons. The music is amazing, 2 of the band members, (bass and guitar players) actually played in New York with some big name musicians. And the other two younger guys were very good. (I do wish they had a Sax player). The Vocalist was awesome..what a voice and I liked her attitude. Our waiter, Mike was so accommodating, We had already eaten before we arrived because we are Vegan and Frankly it is hard to find many places to dine. The menu is Tapas and the presentation is well done. After our first glass of wine we decides to stay because we were so enjoying ourselves so my husband asked for bread to go with the 2nd glass of wine. He told Mike we are Vegan and cant eat anything on the menu...Mike said "Let me see what we can do , He came back and told us the Chef would like to prepare us some Polenta with sauteed Zucchini and Garlic...Yes they did. Wow!!! I hope that stays on the menu because we are Definitely coming back.

This is a hidden gem. A live band playing to a small venue. OMG...the band! They played various artist tunes...awesome. Very personable atmosphere with a retro/contemporary flair. The waitress was hospitable and timely with the service. My drink, a Panama Cucumber Collins with Tozai Typhoon Saze. Very smooth refreshing spring drink. My meal, Mango Shrimp salad, shrimp over romaine lettuce with goat cheese, baby tomatoes and a mango vinaigrette dressing .Their entrées are not for the famished or full course servings, but very delicious. Average prices for this type of venue. $5 cover charge with $15 minimum purchase for each person. Dress code is casual.Well worth it. This spot is worth a return visit.

We came in towards the end of a set of music. There were no seats. We stood close to the bar. In a few minutes, the set of music was over and no one left their seats. Not wanting to stands for the rest of the evening I asked for my check. I was informed that we had to pay for a cover charge as well as our two glasses of wine. It seemed unreasonable to me to have to pay a cover charge while standing and waiting for a seat for 10 minutes. Im sure the music is great and the atmosphere looks nice, but I have never been back. This is a flawed policy and without realizing it this cost them a return visit from me.

Good band, decent food. Nice atmosphere. What earned their 2 stars was automatically adding 20% tip to our bill. I tip well but having the establishment add 20% on their own was a turnoff. Then on a $94.60 bill for 2 I left $100.00 and they decided I didnt need the $.40 and just gave me 5 back. Probably wont come back. Its not the money its the principle. Why would the owner nickel and dime a $95 check and lose a first time customer.

They have cover charges and minimum bill requirements rather than adding value they force you to pay. I wont be back because of this. However the band was entertaining. For the record.. I eat out every day and on weekends its common that I run tabs in the $70+ range. Cover charges plus minimums in a city like Orlando is just obscene.

This is a hot spot for live jazz. *Excellent* wine and tapas menu too. Call ahead or use OpenTable to be sure you have a seat -- some nights (either popular date nights or if a headliner is in) this place can sell out. And, note, its a small place and the music is fun, live, and loud. Its not the place to go for quiet conversations.

I had just heard about it and step in only for a few minutes and was in Awe when I seen the the atmosphere and the people so well groom and the band was awesome its nice to go to a place where you can wear a nice sports jacket and gators shoes and sit and enjoy yourself along with the Jazz playing very nice atmospheres 6 stars

I absolutely loved the setting - bar, lounge and restaurant. With that being said, the food can be better for the price charged. I would recommend this place for all the Grown and Sophisticated folks looking to enjoy a great time in a clean and wholesome environment.

Delish gourmet cuisine. Warm and friendly staff. Jazz band in intimate setting well versed by a songstress named ELLA performed an impeccable round of standards made famous by the incomparable Ella Fitzgerald. Thank you for a memorable, fun evening.

The best House Band in Orlando! Great food, great service, class act all around. Real, live, and very talented musicians the can play it all. Blues, jazz, rock, soul they can play it all like nobody else can. Great night out for group or date!

Fees for entering the restaurant, $5, regardless of the bill amount is a bit of a bummer. Music is alright. Mostly covers sung in kinda blues/jazz style. 3 pc band, No saxophone, no trumpet, high priced menu! Go figure...

Hell no. Ill never go back. I LOVED the music and ambience. But it wasnt enough to ever make me want to go again. You couldnt pay me to go again. I literally spent $200 on three appetizers and a cheap bottle of wine
