This trail is a treat year round. Its an easy escape from Santa Anas urban setting into the decadance of nature. Its best to get out early in the summer to beat the heat. While there are vast stretches of the 6-mile trail that are shaded, not all of it is. The trail is 6 miles one-way for you marathoners who want to run a 12 mile out-&-back loop. The trail is paved and accommodates walkers, runners, bikers, strollers, pets (on leashes or theres a $1000 fine!), and even horseback riders. It starts at Main street just across from Mainplace mall. Along the way youll see Hart park (where theres baseball diamonds, sandy volleyball courts, tennis courts, a horseshoe court, a nice playground, and a bocce ball court),Yorba park (where theres a dog park), and Grijalva park (where theres a sports center). Theres also an archery range at Santiago park, off the Memory Lane access. For avid walkers, Santiago park is about a mile from Orange Circle, if youd like to mosey over there for lunch after a long morning stroll.

This park is nice because its close to my work and I can take a short walk if I have a long enough break. Parking was pretty open when I went. Most of the trail was nice, but there was one part I didnt feel safe going down because I was alone. Definitely some homeless people camping there. Theres an archery field and lawn bowling. The walking trial is quite and part of it extends into the neighborhood

Love this park! Archery range has shade and a friendly atmosphere, the big metal slides for the kids is a bonus. Nature and trails and a small permanant vernal pool to explore. My only negative, occasionally people hang out and throw the alcohol bottles into the riverbed. Makes it less safe for the kids to explore. Please post signs or something for that.

Warning: NOT an off-leash dog park. (Even tho it comes up if you search "dog park") Leashed dogs can be walked on trails. Beautiful mature trees, chirping birds and squirrels.

i love going to this park anytime of the day. great area for walks lots of shaded areas. very secluded, quiet, relaxing, and privacy guaranteed

Its not a good place to bring the kids. The Restroom are really bad and a lot of people are using drugs. It is unfortunate but is the truth.

Fun park that is still friendly to families but has more to offer for adventurous types such as biking or lawn bowling.
