Our girls day out in the beautiful City of San Juan Capistrano was a wonderful experience. It was made even more memorable by our choice of lunch venue, Rancho Capistrano Winery. We were greeted by friendly, helpful and a very professional staff. It was a hairy day for the restaurant as they had only one cook. We were informed that lunch would be delayed due to this problem. As we were all very hungry we toyed with the idea of leaving as some of the other guests were doing, We made the choice to wait it out and it was WELL WORTH the wait. We were treated to several items on the house as we waited. The food was excellent especially the brussel sprouts of which, may I add, I am not fond of. But my favorite new wine of choice is the Mexican Coffee Port. It is listed as a desert wine, but like non I have ever sampled. I am still reliving and experiencing the taste. I have not decided yet how to describe this wine but for now the one word that springs to mind is SUPERB! I would also use this word to describe the food and our whole experience at the winery. Rancho Capistrano Winery is a must visit if you are in the area. CUDOS to the staff!!!

I was here Saturday April 8th 2017 i attend a birthday party with my girlfriends family I was plesently surprised the food was delicious everything was absolutely amazing down to the last bite we started off with the chicken bbq flat bread that was tasted great I personally had the cheese burger with bacon dispite no pickles it was a great Burger finger licking good until the last bite and lastly my girlfriend and I split a cheese cake for dessert probably one of the best Ive ever had overall experience was exquisite deffently coming back soon ps staff was awesome

We had the pleasure of enjoying our Easter Lunch at Rancho Capistrano Winery! Our food was wonderful! The kitchen was impacted by the number of other wine snobs, therefore there was an appetizer that went missing besides an order of fries that came out differently than ordered. The other interesting thing that came up is that they do not have coffee or mimosas.... That probably is something the owner needs to change.... Our waiter Kameron was an absolute delight! What a fantastic person

This place is cute until you order. Wines are mediocre...Food horribly priced for what you get...A wedge salad $17 which should be and what was presented was maybe $8, burger $15 came with everything we didnt order...sent back came right back out with everything removed in the back...wouldnt come back or refer a friend...there are much better places to eat in Capistrano!

Stopped by for dinner and drinks while in the area. The beer flight left something to be desired but the wine selection was plentiful and it IS a winery so one cannot really complain. The food tasted great and the portions were fairly average. We sat outside and the heat lamps kept us warm. There was public parking available nearby.

Great outdoor space, perfect for groups or parties. Its a restaurant. They do no wine making/tasting on the premises. They do offer their own wine brand... which is not very good. The menu is large, everyone in our group could easily find something great to eat along with a limited selection of wine and bubbles.

Do not go here for the wine. I was wondering how they could make good wine importing juice from around the world - turns out they cant. Everything was pretty undrinkable, most tasted like the bottles had been open for too long, and it was Saturday.

Very inviting and warm atmosphere. The service was excellent and servers and staff were very accommodating and friendly. Live entertainment was icing on the cake and made for a very memorable evening. Definitely going to be a regular visitor!

Love coming here! Theres an outdoor area with a fireplace where they do love music. Food is good, and the entire place actually feels like a winery. Very comfortable. Even the people who work here are great.

Atmosphere is great, service is just OK. Waited 25 minutes for a seat while others who came in after us were seated before us, then the hostess gave attitude when questioned.

Live music, good wine and beer, beautiful outdoor patio with a fireplace and heat lamps. Highly recommend this place for any event from a date night to a girls night out!

There was no wait for a reason. Overpriced food and wine. Service is poor and automatic gratuity 18%. Beer 8, wine 10 per pour.
