We held a memorial service for our son at Plaza de Magdalena and we were extremely pleased with the venue, the staff, and the food. Lisa was our contact for arranging the details and was friendly, efficient, and extremely pleasant to work with. The cost was very reasonable for all that was provided by the venue. There was no need to order the chairs, tables, linens, and sound equipment. All was provided by the venue and made our experience much less work and strain. The chairs were beautiful chiavari chairs and they had tables in different shapes and sizes to meet our needs. The items provided were of excellent quality and made for a beautiful, relaxing, and pleasant environment. Lisa was there during the event to oversee that we were happy with every detail. Our media presentation was aided by Orlando who ran the equipment during the event and happily agreed to a trial run the day before. The staff was happy to be of help when we requested the tables be rearranged. And they even provided extra fresh baked cookies when needed. This is an attractive and very well run and staffed venue. The food was excellent. The costs were very reasonable given the caliber of the facility and the location. We highly recommend Plaza de Madalena in downton San Juan Capistrano and thank their gracious staff for helping us celebrate our sons life in a beautiful and relaxing setting.

This is the perfect location for a wedding! I recently coordinated a wedding at Plaza de Magdalena and let me tell you, its specially designed for weddings and theyve thought of everything! The ceremony area has gorgeous bistro lighting to create an enchanting ceremony vibe (option to use their arbor), the reception area has lighting and speakers included, and the venue takes care of all of the tables, linens, napkins, chairs, you name it! This was a stress-free option for the bride as the venue coordinator is exceptional at her job. Patti is a true wedding expert and will make sure you are well taken care of on your wedding day. I would coordinate weddings here every weekend if I could because the staff at the venue are A+ (so helpful, hard working and FRIENDLY!!), the food is insanely good (almost too good to be true) and it comes fully equipped for weddings. We are absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out for our wedding day!! Patti worked with us on every customization and made sure we had ample access for our vendors leading up to the event and during the event weekend. The food was fantastic and the catering team was so flexible and worked with us on every logistical detail. The ambience and location is perfect for a good mix of indoor & outdoor elements. The location is also terrific for photos since its in the heart of downtown San Juan Capistrano. My bridal party got our hair and makeup done 100 yards from PDM and we were all able to get dressed/do final touches together in the bridal suite - there was 12 of us! There was so much room in the bridal suite, its great. Plus, Patti adds a personal touch by hanging your invitation in the room. Its very sweet of her! We are so glad we celebrated our big day here and would definitely recommend this venue!

I really enjoyed having my wedding at Plaza de Magdalena. It is such a beautiful venue. They are tucked away in this plaza but once inside, it is nice and secluded with a beautiful courtyard and a nice reception area. They are also located near a parking structure which is very convenient. Patti did an amazing job coordinating and accommodating to my likes and wants. The venue price included tables, linens, silverware, glassware, and chairs (both the lunch reception and the cocktail hour). The food during the cocktail hour was great, people are still raving about them. We had bacon sliders, tomato soup shots, this chicken wrap, and seared fish on a wonton chip. Everything was good :) I would definitely recommend this venue! Good job Plaza de Magdalena !

We were so lucky to have found Plaza de Magdalena!! We had our wedding 4/30/16 and it was perfect!! Everything went off perfectly!! Patti and her team did an amazing job with the pre-coordinating and making sure we felt at ease. This is truly a beautiful venue, where they treat you like people, not just "another bride and groom". You really get top notch quality food, space, and service for your dollar. The food was absolutely delicious; stuffed chicken breast, gourmet gouda mac n cheese, crisp fresh salads. Patti was a complete joy to work with!

My husband and I had the pleasure of holding both our wedding ceremony and reception at Plaza de Magdalena on 10-1-16! Everything was absolutely PERFECT!! Patti and her staff were very helpful from day 1 and made our special day everything we could have ever hoped for. Our cocktail hour and dinner were delicious. Patti was absolutely wonderful to work with and she was always quick to respond to any question or concern I had which was so comforting throughout the entire process. The food was absolutely wonderful, an easy decision maker if you are on the fence. I wish I could do it all over again!

Ah-mazing! Patti and her team helped us create the most beautiful day ever. They made special accommodations for us and a few of our guests, the price was much more affordable than other venues, and the food was delicious. My husband and I highly recommend this venue.
