Shatner was relocated to here. My original tix were lower balcony @Warfield. Nourse put us in upper balcony 4 rows from ceiling. No air circulation. Full house. 20 min past show time, still waiting. Not happy, Bob! Only solice is that side doors are open. If someone tries to shut them, youll recognize me.....Ill be the crazy middle-aged women tackling them in the isle!

One of the hidden Jewel of San Francisco when it comes to structure, the theater is small with give the performer and the audience a more intimate interaction. Stuff did not permit pictures or video during the event, (which I found ridiculous since the singer encourage fans to take pictures and share them with her) and were having rude comments after the show.

Major points for a staff that was both diligent and pleasant. The floor seats are average sized but nice, though from what Ive read the loge and balcony seats are very small. The building itself feels historical and old, but not run down. I was impressed by the calendar of events and suspect Ill be back one of these days.

The concert was great and the venue is nice. Its a smallish and somewhat intimate space which was great for such soulful music. The audio didnt seem mixed terribly well. It seemed a little flat at times and the musicians seemed to be gesturing/calling for various mics to be boosted at times.

Doesnt look much from the outside, but once you walk through the doors, you step into an intimate space that has been preserved and protected from another era. Perfect venue for lectures and small art/musical event.

Easy views of the speakers and great acoustics. I enjoy attending City Arts and Lectures and recently attended graduation in the nicely renovated theater. It has a vintage feeling that enhances the experience!

I have been here a handful of times. This location is great for local events that are going on. Its also conveniently located next to some nice restaurants. I recommend coming here for any event.

Nice theater near civic center. Quick walk from the performing arts garage. Staff was super friendly and relaxed - from door to our seats took no time. Seats are a little small.

Kind of a hidden gem. I would never guessed the theatre was as classic and nice as it was from the exterior. Really enjoyed the venue as well as the show.

Beautiful art deco theater that is now part of City Arts and Lectures. Conveniently located in Hayes Valley, close to the Van Ness MUNI station.

Has community center ambiance. Recently renovated. Only critique.. Its not sound proof from outside noises such as passing sirens and car horns.

The loge seats are really small for tall people, but the lectures are worth the sardine feeling!
