I was there for the first time just last night and I thought the place was above average, especially when youre talking a poker room vice actual casino. They had multiple tables, Poker, BJ, and Pai Gow and maybe another game or two? I sat at a nice loose 5-10 NL with plenty of action and had a great time. Parking outside has a security guard and is walled/fenced(?) so it doesnt feel all that dangerous. Theres a restaurant area with some pretty good food as well as a bar. Whenever I asked for drinks, service was pretty quick about it and while I never tried ordering food AT the table, other people at my table did and it was fast and I was told, good. Melissa, what are you talking about, when you say two people were rude to you and that justifies giving an establishment AS A WHOLE a one star rating? Are you even comparing this to other poker rooms or are you basing a one star review on a couple people?

Food is good, staff is ok, but there are a lot of very rude players. I gave the joint multiple tries and each time there was someone ruining the experience. One time I sat next to a guy who was so drunk, or high, he was knocking over his chips, spacing out, yelling at other players, and hitting on a female player across the table. Another time I had a guy who literally yelled at me every time I beat his hand. I expect some level of trash talk at a card table, but not to the level where other players are getting up and leaving. Too bad I liked the place, but employees do nothing to keep it civil.

If I may interject, I have been to many Casinos, and yes the place isnt too dangerous but the service lacking, or as my headline puts it, "sucking" yes, it could have been an off day for the casino, but that doesnt matter because I was offended. period. and this shouldnt happen, not once...this Joe guy is a character, it obviously looks like you work at Capitol and are just trying to cover up a bad review, well here is another review you can try and cover up. good one. So I am giving Capitol Casino 2 stars, 1 for bad service, and 1 for the effort of covering it up!

Staff is extremely unfriendly. Restrooms are always filthy. Dealers at the tables ask guests not to engage in conversation with other guests and dealers. Food sucks a**. Security? They dont know what that is until something bad happens. Parking is just bad. No lighting and not enough parking. Management is oblivious to the problems. Had to alert the management too more then one dealer( blackjack) cheating on pay-outs. Seen more then my fair share of cops on duty, in uniform, on the clock gambling there. WHAT A TORN OFF

casino is terrible they take you from table to table until you get to main table for cash. You cant pick your table. Also there was a fight there and they let one guy beat the crap out of another guy for 5 minutes before scared ass security finally led them out after one guy took a beating and the other guy was finished beating him. Also think i could of got food poisoned eating their old food...

A different concept in a gambling establishment. It was fairly small and no machines. Won $20 on $5 blackjack over two rounds of doubledeck. Weird state rules on how things are paid but a fantastic dealer. I only stayed for a short time to see what it was. My bike was safely locked in a cage in the parking lot...I really liked that.

This is just a review of the cafe. The wait staff and kitchen are SLOWWW. Food regularly sits in the window ready to be delivered but waiters are always distracted. The prices arent a good deal $9-$20 a meal but you usually get a decent amount of food and its mostly tastey. If your lunch break is shorter than 45 minutes dont bother.

The managers are in with the local players. All they do is try to take your money and do not go there that experience. Food is good wait staff as good as far as for cards they suck dude to the managers playing and given chips to other players just to get you out from playing. Very rude will never go back

Will not return...I have played a ton of places and my review is to stay away from this place...it sucks. People here are pissy and rude...well not all the people, just 2 in particular...well im going to play at the other casinos be sides this one... ...in short...beware of rip off!

One of the best cafe menus in Sacramento. Love the chef salad, they will make you egg white omelets, ask for the fruit cup to accompany breakfast.
