Gamble A Lot

TVC makes you feel like youre in Nevada. The regular rooms are ok but the suites are amazing. I could get my casino getaway without having to fly or drive through the snow and still feel like I traveled to somewhere exotic. Staff is usually very professional especially the slot attendants and drink girls. Lots of beautiful single women here- both employees and guests. If youre nice to the dealers youll likely get a date :D Slots are very tight even for a high limit player. There are a few loose machines but you have to feed them a good amount before you can expect a jackpot. Best times for slots are Sunday night, Tuesday daytime, and Wednesday night. Mon/thurs/fri are awful days for players. Saturday is just too busy. Theres a nice mix of old and newer machines. The new machines at some casinos are just too boring and complicated to even be fun. The concerts here are a lot of fun. If you dont gamble like a coupon saver then youll probably get tix to all the shows free. Or you can do like most people and sell your tix on CL for cash to gamble more haha. Comps here are great. Free play and free rooms are usually generous. Red hawk could learn a thing or two from TVC! I love being able to use my comps at the food locations without getting approval from the reward center. Just check your balance at the kiosk and hand your card to any food cashier. Very convenient. The free gifts are usually decent. The buffet used to be good but now it is simply getting too busy to enjoy at the price point, especially on Friday. Ive played here since it opened and have only witnessed one thunder strike jackpot. I think it is rigged honestly. Dont play here because you think youll win that. I noticed lately they havent been giving away nice prizes like in prior years. They normally give away jet skis and jeeps for summer, this year it was a BBQ lol. And at Xmas its always a house. This year its a small amount of cash! I guess they are trying to pay for that hotel expansion (the exterior looks awful with that tarp by the way). I used to play heavy here but my return on the risk wasnt worth it. I now just play my free play and save the money for other casinos. I can afford to play $30 a spin all night, but when I dont get more than a $300 win, Im smart enough to know this place is greedy. All I want is a jackpot here or there to entertain me. Im gonna put it back in anyway! But theres no entertainment in constant losing. It makes no sense, why make such a tight place that just discourages your high limit players?? If you play high limit I wouldnt play here. Come to have fun, have a good meal, and play conservatively. You wont win much here sadly. Security does a great job too. Always patrolling and I feel safe bringing/leaving with large amounts of cash. I only had one issue with a staff member here. A bartender actually pocketed my change assuming it was a tip! I might be a high limit player but I dont tip $15 to pop open a bottle. I reported him and I havent seen him since after they confirmed my story on camera. Table game rules are pretty strict here compared to other places. No back betting on baccarat and you must sit at ez-bac. Minimum bets are higher and max bets are lower than most casinos too. It makes it harder to get a profit from side bets. The place has an incredibly strong stale smoke smell. I have played here for an hour, then went to visit family and they even asked if I had started smoking because I smelled so bad! Red hawk has less smoke smell, but more of a white trash never shower smell. You cant win with casinos, literally. Edit: took off two stars for their rewards system. I was a president level and was bumped to beginner status simply because it was the end of the year and points are now being expired every 6 months. So much for loyalty. Time to find a new casino :(

My boyfriend and I wanted to get out of the house for awhile but were and undecided on where to go. Then he mentioned casinos so we decided to go to Thunder Valley. Its conveniently located in Lincoln which is not far at all from out home in Sacramento. They have a large variety of food places, which have a larger variety of foods to choose from. When we arrived, we sort of went our seperate ways to find the winning" machine before we would meet up for dinner. Immediately after sitting at my first machine, I was greeted by a friendly woman offering beverages. She quickly returned with the Pepsi that I ordered, and wished me a wonderful evening before letting me continue on my machine. After winning a little bit, I reluctantly left my machine to meet up with my boyfriend at the buffet for dinner. As many times as Ive been to Thunder Valley, this was my first time at the buffet, and saying that I was amazed is an understatement. The wait to enter was minimal, the staff was friendly, curteous, and were prompt at clearing our table so we could enjoy our food with less clutter, considering you get a new plate every time you make a run to the buffet. There was so much to choose from and everything looked and smelled so delicious that my mission was to try a little of everything. Unfortunately I failed that mission because there was so much that I didnt think Id be able to make it to the desert section. And after getting a quick glance at that there was no way I was going to pass that up. After we ate we decided to go to the bar for a little bit to get some Game King in. We each ordered a drink that the bartender made perfectly. As he was wiping the counter we strikes up a wonderful, hilarious conversation that my boyfriend and I still laugh about. After a wonderful evening of exciting slot machines, wonderful food, and memorable staff we decide it was time to go home. As soon as we walked in my boyfriend went straight to the computer to book a room at Thunder Valley for an upcoming weekend. I cant wait to see whats in store for the next visit.
