Its like a manicured oasis right near DTLA without the feeling of an urban park. Theres a small parking area and the well-marked trails will lead you up the hill to several well-maintained picnic areas, open green space, and a quaint pond/waterfall and a childrens play area. The place has not succumbed to hipster creep so its mostly local families and couples at the moment. High up the hill, theres the single bench that overlooks DTLA. Dont expect privacy to snuggle with your significant other as EVERYONE goes to that bench. Otherwise, head higher up, bring your tripod and enjoy the view of the DTLA skyline at sunset.

This place is EXTREMLY BEAUTIFUL!!!! I actually never knew there was a place like this so close to LA, and the VIEW OMG SO AWESOME xD I wish I had my Camera at the time, I would have taken a picture....more like pictures...the only problem for me is its a bit confusing, like when your outside, all u see is a like a small playground, but once you walk in, its like being transported to somewhere Relaxing soothing and what not. Im actually gonna visit again and just relax in here. Perfect place for Pictures, Relaxing, Soccer, Football, Photo Shoots, a picnic and other stuff I havent said.

This place has a great view of the LA Downtown Skyline. When I visited the parking space directly in the park was blocked off. i thought already that some event might be going on and indeed there was a wedding about to be held. They were still prepping everyting. Getting married outdoor in front of a nice skyline is not bad. There are a couple of trails and even public restrooms, kids play area and a mini waterfall. There is also parking available along the street for free. Shouldnt be a problem to find a spot during the weekend.

This park is a great place to go hang out, its huge with lots of activity areas. Therese paddle boating, bike rentals, tennis courts, basket ball courts, base ball grounds, play area for kids, picnic areas as well a the dog park area and the beautiful lake views. On public holidays its usually full to the limit, parking can be a major problem on holidays. But on regular weekdays/weekends is great. I love this Vista Hermosa Natural Park.

Un parque muy lindo, con una vista espectacular del downtown, desde su famosa banca. Un buen lugar para hacer picnic, caminar, correr y pasar un estupendo rato. Sin duda, uno de los mejores parques de Los Angeles

I have to admit the only reason I visited this park was to take a picture at the bench that overlooks the view of DTLA. However, after visiting the park I was pleasantly surprised how nice of a park it is especially based on its location. Its a great place to relax or have a picnic. The only downside is the parking. Spaces are very limited so you might have to find parking on the street.

Possibly one of or if not the best park in all of Los Angeles. Very welcoming, clean, natural, calm, friendly, fair sized, well maintained, and its actually pretty new because it was built in 2006 so only 10 years ago. Unlike old MacArthur and Echo this place (Vista Hermosa Natural Park) has a lot more to offer. And it still has a long history ahead of it. I love VHNP.

But its been hard to get ahold of anyone at the provided numbers and email from the website and flyers on the office window. Can anyone help? Thanks so much!

This is such a hidden spot near Downtown LA. This park is pretty empty, but I like it that way. I dont have to fight for parking. The park itself is really beautiful and has a small trail leading to the playground area. Dont forget to get a photo opp at the infamous bench facing the downtown skyline!

Unfortunately we reached here late one evening and the park was closed, deserted almost. SO to grab a neat view of the LA skyline, we stopped at the playground next door and it wasnt too bad. The park is on elevated ground which would have definitely given a better view.

Beautiful & quiet. Not a very popular park, but for all the good reasons. Its solitary, which is what makes it beautiful because there are no crowds to ruin the nature & peace of the please. Always green & fresh, unlike other parks that seem uncared for

Little gem! Winding paths through native landscaping create privacy and sense of space that is remarkable for such a little park. Beautiful views of the downtown skyline. Upper area has inventive playground for kids. Explore and treasure this park!

Cute little park that wasnt too crowded. It feels a lot more personal than Echo Park. DTLA also looks like you can reach out and touch the skyscrapers. It is clean, parking is a problem though and you will probably have to park on the street.

I want to type my question to email - @lacity org. to the facility in VH Park for asking the facility for turf soccer field. I wanna know the soccer field information. This program is nothing VH Parks e-mails.

This park is a hidden gym in a busy city. I like to escape here and take images of the city. Very easy to get to and had decent parking. Just follow the trail up until you see the park benches.

This park has a beautiful view of the city. However, the park is really small and can easily be walked in less than half an hour. Besides that, it is a nice park with a beautiful view.

A beautiful, seemingly natural setting, right in downtown LA. With 10 1/2 acres, its big enough so you dont feel too crowded in. A nicely maintained park. We loved spending time there.

Its a great park with a short trail around it. there is a designated parking area for the park but it could get full quick. Overall its maintained well but could use a few more benches.
