I loved Mrs. Fish!! Came here on a Saturday night with a group of 4, we didnt have reservations, but you can still go in and enjoy the place like a regular bar. LOVED the venue!!! The aquariums over head are super cool and kinda project a blueish lighting. I love aquariums so Ive been wanting to check Mrs. Fish out when I heard they had opened. My friend ordered the Chilean Breeze cocktail - it wasnt very spicy like it was supposed to be, but I really enjoyed my whiskey sour. Drinks were tasty but strong, theyre also served in plastic glasses lol, come on people, dont you trust us?? I can see how the multiple levels would be hard to meet people and mingle, you have to go downstairs to get into Mrs. Fish, and then theres an upper level, a lower level and there are tables recessed in the back. We sat at these cool seats directly behind where the live band was playing. We saw two bands that night, liked the first one much better than the second. Only three stalls in the womens restroom! BOO! Any place that serves alcohol should have a ton of restrooms! I snagged street parking right outside, had a lot of fun here and loved the venue! Would totally come back!

Having 2 kids, one being just over one, nights out with the wife are rare for now. We finally got a babysitter and started our night at snow day la but quickly left by 9:30, we had a few more hours and decided to hit up our old party spot in penguin onesies as a joke to see if we could get into perch. I approached the bouncer and told him "we arent getting in like this right?" And he replied "what why not ill hook u up somewhere" we all laughed, he took us next door to mrs.fish and let us right in. Wow this place is fancy, and 2 penguins just walked in. We sat at the bar and were treated so good from the get go! We ordered drinks and the arrived after our appetizers, so Sam our really awesome bartender/cook recognized it and gave us 2 free drinks and apologized. The sliders and eel were a 10! That was super cool as we didnt even complain. The waitress 2 minutes later brought us 2 chardonnay on the house! This place has superb decor and everyone was very well dressed, suits and dresses. And us 2 penguins. Sam again major props, ill be taking everyone i know here due to the great service and bomb food. Only next time ill be dressed accordingly for sure.

Suspended Fish Tank If I was an architect I would probably tell you that the 5,500 gallon salt water fish tank is suspended on the ceiling as a chandelier illuminating the architecturally stunning space by use of massive structural steel i-beams braced back to the concrete reinforced columns that are also the structure holding up the entire 16 floors of building above your head. Even though the water alone weighs about 50,000 lbs, the steel should be able to hold the entire aquarium in place in a seismic event...but hey what do I know. Not Quite Destination If you know Perch youll know that Mrs Fish is in the basement of the same building, the Pershing Square Building. The space is actually really amazing as you descend down a concrete tunnel into a completely different underground world. Yeah, its edgy and different, but for me its not the end destination. Why? Two reason, one I dont have $100 for caviar, Im poor. I like to charm my way into free drinks from the bartender. Two, the crowd and music is too tame for me, wheres the Sir-Mix-A-Lot?!

Wow is this place...interesting! First are the non marked and non descript doors for the entrance. Unless you know where it is, you can walk right by it. Its an interesting way to brand the place...mysterious? Hip? Different? Regardless, once you show your ID and head on in, youre greeted with a great staircase heading down into the establishment. Multi leveled, its a bit of a curiousity in where to sit. Its nice to have the options, downstairs are some soft, U shaped lounge style seats, great for larger groups. On the middle floor live bands play (the times Ive been its been original music - yay!), with bar seating, one off seats which can be moved around, and a few tall bar style tables for two. Upstairs is a bit like downstairs, just a little less lounge feeling. The fish tank could absolutely use more fish, but its a nice variation in typical lounge decor. The food is good, some excellent dishes and a few that are just so-so. The drinks are great, be sure to try some of their signature cocktails!

Mrs. Fish is a music venue/bar in the heart of downtown LA. Located across the street from pershing square and in the basement of the building where Perch is located, this venue is easy to find...kinda. Theres little sign to point to the venue, other than the black door with security guarding it to check ids. Inside the place is dark and sets the tone for the jazz and blues vibe that compliments the local bands that play in the middle of the room. Make sure to look up to see the giant aquarium running through the room with exotic fish. The drinks are well done and the bartenders are really friendly. I came on a Thursday and it wasnt too busy around 10pm, but all of the table on the bottom floor were reserved. They have a second level that gives you a view of the venue, which isnt too band and wasnt reserved. Parking in the pershing square lot might be the easiest, but theres tons of adjacent lots.

My new cool spot for those random dtla nights. From the makers of Perch, Mrs. Fish has a big fish tank as you enter this underground lair, and then you somehow forget everything else. Its like walking into a 60s mod club, where theres live music that doesnt overpower the scene, a few bars (three, to my count, plenty of lounging space to be as seen or unseen as you wanna be, and a youngish crowd. Excellent place to entertain clients for "after-dinner drinks" if theyre younger, trendier. No cover, and no wait. Also excellent when Perch is cold (the 3 days of the year that LA actually gets cold). Drinks were strong and vibes were good. While the fish tank was smaller than I expected, with less fish, it did make for a great ambiance and a lovely night.

I went to the Grand Opening of Mrs Fish last Saturday. Location is in the same building as Perch. There are no signs out front. Just look for the 2 black doors West of Perch main entrance. The set up of Mrs. Fish is awesome! Its multi-level with full bars on each floor. Theres plenty of seating which reminds me of The Edison. Theres a stage for live bands and a DJ booth as well. I love the fish tanks! All baby fish for now. My one complaint is the plastic glassware. Cocktails are priced at $15-$16 dollars! They should use real glassware! No entrance fee and no reservations. All first come first serve basis. We left around midnight and there were a long line of people waiting to get in. I can see this place being the new hot spot in DTLA.

Cool venue underneath Perch and behind a velvet rope. There are bars on both levels of the place. A large fishtank weaves its way around the entrance. As it got later, a band began to set up in the middle of the venue. As it had been a long week, that was our cue to go. Nothing against the band or music; Im a professional musician myself. The place was not overly crowded and skewed younger, but the crowd was mixed. A nice evening and unusual scene. Nice to see live music
