I have traveled out to Tachi Palace for 3 business trips over the last 2 months. I have stayed 4 night each business trip, and I gambled every night I was there for a few hours. HOTEL The hotels is very nice, the rooms are large, clean and very comfortable It has a large pool, 2 hot tubs and a nice fitness center. the lobby is large and has the appearance of a nice 4 star hotel. STAFF very nice, professional and I have never had an issue with any one that works at the hotel. They have always fixed any issues I had during my stay. CASINO The casino is a pretty decent casino. it is large, and has more slots and a poker room on the 3rd floor. On the main floor there is a large selection of slot machines. If you are looking for your favorite machine, chances are it will be there. However for the person like myself that plays for entertainment, I want my money to last before it is all gone. In this casino you have to look harder to actually have your money last. For example, there are not many "true" penny slots in this casino. They have 1 cent slots, but they have a minimum of .30/spin which does not include bonus. I enjoy the 5 reel, 9 line penny slots as I can chose a bet from 1 cent to $1.80 per spin. There are some machines there that are my type of machines, but they are hard to get a seat at since there are not many of them on the floor so wait in line. The machines at this casino are clearly tighter than most casinos I have played in. On average my allowed money I play per night at other casinos usually lasts about 3-4 hours on penny / nickel slots before I am out of money for the night. I always alter my bets here and there, change up machines often enough to get a true taste of the floor. With a combination of wins/losses, I am usually playing for 3-4 hours on $40-50.00 on the penny slots. However over the last 12 nights at this hotel, my 40-50.00 per night lasts about 1-2 hours. the machines pay out, but they pay out small each time. they will then pay out a decent hit of 12.00 or so, but it then takes it back real fast by paying back small .02 - .20 cents per win, but the bet was 2-3 times that amount. What I noticed was the last 2 nights I stayed there that on average only 1 out of 15 rolls actually paid back more than the original bet made. Now looking at this, I see how it goes so fast. BOTTOM LINE The hotel is very nice, if you are traveling on business, I suggest you stay here as it is much better than anything else around. If you are passing through, or wanted to make a trip to the area for fun or to win some money, I suggest you keep driving, or go to another casino such as tabletop, or chu-ching casino near Fresno. It does not matter if you are playing for entertainment, or if you are playing to win, you will have 1 thing in common at Tachi palace, you will both lose your bankroll. After my last trip, I do not plan to use this casino any more on my business trips until they loosen the slots a tad. Usually when you walk around the floor you see, hear people winning, talk to and meet new people and hear about winning stories, that is part of the entertainment value of casinos. However during my stays, I never really saw a good pot paid out to anyone, or a high credit count on peoples machines as I walked through the floor, and all the locals I met I heard many stories, but they all were about winning $100 here or there, but they did not know of big winners, and there is no wall in the casino showing pictures of big winners and their checks. FINAL WORD These were by far the tightest slots I have ever played.

The only reason I give this place one star is because one star is the minimum accepted. This hotel is the filthiest hotel we have ever stayed in. The carpets on floor 5 looked like they have never been cleaned. The same trash was in the hallway for the three nights we stayed there. The floors entering and exiting the elevators were almost black with dirt. The ashtrays/trash cans looked like the sand had never been changed and the ones on the 5th floor looked like someone had gotten sick in them. We left a tip to the room maid to have the light fixed in the bathroom. Not only did she NOT pass this on, she took the tip though, but she removed the pillow case from our personal pillow that we brought with us and put that in with the linen to be cleaned and it was gone forever. We talked to a couple of upper managers on Monday and informed them of the problems with the hotel and they showed us that they could have cared less. All that they did was see to it that the ashtray/trash can in the hall by the elevator on the 5th floor was emptied and the cigarette butts were taken out of the sand. The sand was never cleaned or replaced and still looked like someone had been sick in them. Lastly, there is no place to park and check in other than using valet. We attempted to park in front of the hotel and check in but the valet people told us we needed to move and park in the lot and check in, this space by the front doors is for valet only. Never been to a hotel that one could not park outside the entrance and check in before. We will never be staying at this hotel again at the Cost of $417 for three nights we expected better than a sub-class hotel and amenities. Save your money and stay at a different hotel. But if you dont mind filth for yourself and family by all means stay here... you wont be disappointed.

I at the Tachi Palace right now. Had reservation for disable accessible room, requesting rental of wheelchair and made spa reservations for "the works". I can only walk about 40ft with my walker. Valet & bell hop were great. Wheelchair not available at registration desk. Request for one to be delivered to room or registration desk "against Tachi policy". Instructed to walk all the way through lobby, dining area and to the rear of casino to pick up the wheelchair (no charge for wheelchair, but they want ID to hold). I offered to give them my passport, if they could just send someone for the wheelchair. NO CAN DO (even I after I gave bell hop $10 tip). So here I am in room 5007 playing the slots on my laptop, thank god for the free wi-fi and TV. NO THE PLACE TO GO IF YOU ARE DISABLED AND WITHOUT AN ESCORT. They have room service for meals, thank god, so Ive ordered the Shrimp Cocktail and deluxe Turkey sandwich with avocado. Looks & tastes good. Lovely view of pool with jacuzzi from my 5th floor executive, disable executive, suite. Great for ambulatory persons, or disabled ones with caregivers to assist them. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DISABLED WIDOWS.
