I just finished staying at the Commerce Casino, and I have stayed at this hotel before. I am constantly on the road and stay at hotels about2/3 of the year and I am enrolled in the IHG Priority Membership (IHG owns the Holiday Inn chain and Crowne Plaza.) I booked my room for my four day stay online 3 weeks in advance. Upon checking in I had to wait 20 minutes (my room was not ready, and it was after 5pm) As soon as I got in my room maintenace came in and took my refrigerator (even though there was nothing wrong with it, and they did not replace it during my stay.) I did not receive my complimentary morning paper during my stay. I went to the Sports Bar on a Sat night and they were showing the UFC fight which was a plus...however as soon as the fight was over they kicked everybody out even though they paid $10.00 to watch the fight (many people were still eating their dinners and finishing their drinks...security did not care and kicked everyone out of the area) I guess they used this part of the sports bar as a dance floor on the weekend, but they were very very rude...other customers were talking amongst themselves too about the treatment. 2 to 3 nights a month I also use this Crowne Plaza to house members of my work during a weekend stay. It is ideal for my company based on location...but I expect more when Im blocking off 35 rooms per stay, there are other hotels. I beleive the emphasis at this hotel is the Casino and not the traveler.

We liked this hotel. We used the valet to park the car, was told it was only $5. Beats parking far away and walking. We did not use the attached casino or any of the hotel amenities, but the room was quiet and somewhat comfortable. The hot water in the shower stayed hot. Ordinarily I would not write about the hot water, but we stayed somewhere recently where the shower would get cold all of a sudden. Thought there werent any hotels like that anymore. The hotel seems very energy efficient. Your keycard must be used to activate the A/C in the room. They have a permanent shampoo/bodywash/conditioner dispenser instead of giving you the little samples. The sink was maybe not installed correctly because the water come out of the spigot would hit the edge of the sink if you did not turn it on high. Just a minor annoyance I guess. The TV was a little small for the size of the room, but my daughter, 10, was the only one doing the TV watching. One thing they got right was that they had USB port charges and outlets all over the place. This was a big plus.

I drove cross country on the dream that this biggest poker room in the world would have a game for me. I am a semiprofessional card player just out of college and I moved to california simply to play at this card room. The structures of the games are terrible and the rakes are even worse for medium stake players. Buying in at the 2-3 NL holdem you can only bring 100 bucks to the table and there is a 2$ rake every hand even if the small blind folds to the big blind, that 2 bucks is going down the shoot. The staff pretends like you arent even there and not one waitress came by the whole 2 hours I actually stayed to play there. This is not even comparable to any casino in Vegas and whoever is stupid enough to think it is should talk a walk down the scummy streets this casino is located on. I could find a better card game in any rural area compared to this money pitt for the commerce casino and really am disappointed that I wasted so much time here

Los Angeles has many other casinos that have impressed me in their superior customer service and quality of their gaming sections. Commerce Casino does not hold a candle to their competition. The dealers will barely make eye contact with players let alone talk to players beyond no more bets. The Floormen are the true disappointment though, they will only interact with higher rollers to ensure they are being taken care of with amenities or food/cocktail service. Security is pretty lazy and extremely rude. The atmosphere would best be described as bland and leaves you bored to tears with the amount of banter the employees make amongst themselves ignoring players and severely delay the games. The worst casino in LA. Dont waste your time, there are plenty of other casinos within 30 minutes and one within 15 minutes that will show you a good time and take care of you rather than disappoint like commerce casino. Good Luck, youll need it.

First off, I think that they are in violation of ca gambling code..., because when casino can not play , where they push it is according to the rules of the game a casino loss and player gets paid bet and not play. At commerence casino the dealers still use dead cards and tell you that you still have to beat there cards, player do not get paid on beat, that is a fine to casino. The casino is responsible to report wins over 1200.00 , so state gets taxes, at commerece casino they pay you, no taxes. Floor men always ask for tips, very bad, they are check and balance, by them taking money, they have bad bias. Never eat food, very salty, spoiled , makes you sick, D- food , they need to have a dinning area that is clean , no food on floor, chips are never cleaned making them a bacteria farm. Over all go there as a last resort.

been here 6 weeks, nice enough hotel, really friendly staff, beds are great, pool is really small, gym has a few tread mills free weights only up to 25 or 30 lbs and a small nautilus machine. house keeping cleans well but they took the coffee mugs 3 weeks ago and they arent great at restocking tp or expendables. i mean Ive been here long term and i only have them clean once a week but they havent put a new coffee filter in ever without having to stop and ask for one the mugs that maybe needed cleaning but should have been replaced. I dont know what my company is paying for this place but i hope its not more than what an average mid-range hotel runs in LA.

Booked a room on the 8th floor with family. Building was very confusing in terms of finding parking space so we had to get a Valet to park it for us. The room itself was very fancy. Restroom countertops and floors were lined with marble. Breakfast was on the 9th floor in the "executive room" though was disappointed by the variety of food they had. Only saw fruits, muffins, and bread. Drinks were either orange juice or coffee. Was expecting more along the lines of eggs, bacon, and sausages. The breakfast room itself was pretty small and at first I thought it was another hotel room.

The manager on duty sunday night of sept.25and the old black security or bell man is so rude uncortious specially their dealing with women..we are regular players and often check in at the hotel but this nightthey throw out 4women eating because they said theyre not a guest that time he did not even let the women finish their food but we talk to a lot of people whos eating there that they are also but a guest they obly give the bellman tip to let them up the 9th floor.and they are there everyday this manager should apply this to everyone.hotwl owner should review this.
