Incredible selection of trails to meet everyones needs! Extraordinary opportunity to hike in the lush Sonoran desert. March and April are stellar times. One can choose long, steep, moderate, flat, interpreted, one-ways or loops. If you like to be outdoors, dont miss the opportunity to explore each of the trailheads in the Preserve! AWESOME!!

Hiking the McDowells from gateway is terrific. Several trails of varying difficulty. Just went to windgate pass for a nice three hour hike with fabulous views. Flowers in bloom were a bonus

My only reason for the 3 star rating is people need to clean up after their dogs and stop leaving poop bags on the side of the trail. Very low class and irresponsible pet owners.
