Today, we went to The Rogue Tomato for lunch, After being sat down it was 12:18 PM. the server Michaela came over greeted us and walked away. She brought us water....she did not ask once if we would like anything other then water. She took our orders and before she walked away i let her know we were on our lunch hour if we could please put a rush on the food. She ensured me that she would put a rush on it and have the food out in no time this was at 12:25. After she walked away for a brief minute she came back with our checks so that way we could run out the second we were done with our food. We paid her she brought back the checks and they sat on the table before we signed them. Thank goodness we did not fill them out!!! As time went on our food still did not come out, EVERYONE around us got their food way before we ever did, even the people that got sat after us. I asked her 3 times if our food was ready yet, each time she said yes in a minute. 30 minutes from the time she brought us our check there still was no food. She didnt come to our table any longer and did not bring our food. i had to ask another server if she knew where our waitress was and if our food would be ready soon. Michaela brought out 2 of the 3 orders walked away told us she would be right back with the 3rd meal and never came back. Instead she brought out another couples food, took a check from another family and ignored us. FINALLY after 2 of us were almost done with our food the 3rd item came out, she had to scarf down the food as we are on our lunch break. At this time i asked for a manager at 12:59 pm, they said the manager will be right out. The manager never showed and at 1:17 pm we walked out of the restaurant with out our server michaela ever coming to our table to make sure our food was OK, or if we needed refills on our waters....nothing. This is only the second time we have gone here and both times we experience the same treatment of neglectfulness, and not getting our food in a timely manner. We will not be coming back here again.

My husband and I were in an unfamiliar part of town for a morning doctor appointment. We wanted a little something for breakfast and saw a sign for a fast food restaurant. We pulled into a parking lot to find it and saw a sign that said now serving breakfast. We looked up and the restaurant was called Rogue Tomato. Always up for new dining experiences, we decided to go in and check it out. When we walked in the décor was delightful. It was very distinctive and created the perfect ambiance to feel welcome. There was a chalk board wall that accentuated the room and had a welcoming feel. The menus were unique and displayed the food in a very creative manner. I had a hard time deciding what to order. There were so many creative options that looked enticing. I decided on the Crab Egg Benedict. It came beautifully presented on my plate. My husband ordered Eggs any Style, also beautifully presented. Both dishes came with rosemary potatoes. My husband’s plate came with a freshly made jam. All of the food was amazing. The rosemary potatoes were the absolutely best breakfast potatoes I have ever eaten. I ordered a mimosa with my meal. It was very yummy as well. The service was just as amazing as the food and décor. Overall I was impressed enough with this restaurant to take my time to write this review. Even though it is 54 miles from my house, I will be back. I want to try some more of the menu options.

I have been here several times now, but I must say I found The Rogue Tomato accidently by wanting to eat breakfast. The breakfast was delicious! One day, about 2 months ago, I wanted french toast for breakfast and was heading to The Place but instead, I walked in here and ordered Crab Eggs Benedict. Yummy! The side of potatoes that came with it was savory as well, and I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast. Service was friendly and efficient. We have since discovered they have bands on some weekend nights. One night they had an amazing jazz band, and the place was kicking! I really hope they bring this band back. Havent tried their dinner items, but I did sit at the bar and ordered the 3 meat marinara flatbread with a few handcrafted cocktails. Everything was tasty. Atmosphere is hit and miss. Band nights are a little more lively obviously, but there can be some quiet, almost dull evenings spent here, and that may be more to the lack of patrons on some of the slower nights. There is one tv in an awkward location behind the bar that plays old movies; on some days you can catch a game. The brick wall and the minimalist decor gives the place a sorta old school feel. This area needs something like this and i hope it place become a permanent fixture for the community.

I have a new favorite place! We are vegetarians & I have a gluten allergy. Usually when I go out to eat I am very limited on choices not here. I was offered fruit instead of bread & it was a large portion of really fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries & cantaloupe). They have amazing food! Large portions with fresh ingredients. They didnt skimp on the fillings for my omelet or my husbands frittata. Fresh poblanos & fresh (not canned) grilled mushrooms. I usually have to slather my food with hot sauce but here it seemed like a crime because I didnt want to spoil the layers of flavor. The rosemary potatoes (also fresh not some frozen reheated mess) were great & the omelet filling had subtle layers of flavor that I really enjoyed. Although we were full we could not stop eating! Did i mention their they have better coffee than any coffee house i have been to...ever! Definitely will come back! Great service, nice soundtrack (not too loud, mellow with some more obscure music), fun mural on the walls topped off by one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time! Our server Kyle was attentive & cleared away used items from our table with each stop. Other servers pitched in keeping coffee h waters filled. Great experience!

This week was our second time here and decided to give it another shot after a subpar first experience. The restaurant should be called The Rogue Service. Once again it took 8 minutes for a wait staff member to greet us upon being seated. Granted he apologized and blamed it on miscommunication with another staff member, he redeemed himself by being cool and personable. Secondly, we ordered the guac bowl with chips. So much guac and it was tasty, but couldnt enjoy it until our dinner arrived bc the chips were nasty. They tasted and smelled like the oil they were fried in. We asked the server if they make them and he replied yes. We voiced our concern, he apologized, took the chips, notified the kitchen and we were left staring at the guac. Nothing was done to make it right. Such a shame. Little things were, didnt check on us after dinner was served, he arrived after we finished and said hed be back for our plates, and didnt. We had to physically walk to the waiter at the bar to give him the bill and credit card. Ugh! I want to like this place bc its so close and has potential but Ive left with a bad taste in my mouth both times.
