Keinan Balsam

This is an upscale restaurant for Helena. I had the olive, cheese tray, and pretzel appetizers; the steak (with mashed potatoes and asparagus); and the cheese cake for desert. There is also a bar (I think it is full but I am no expert). The building is historical, and has plaques on the walls commemorating the various uses it has seen over the years. I am taking a star off because my chair was wobbly and the room got really hot in the summer heat.

Micah has brought a proper dining experience to the members-only restaurant with a rotating menu that mixes creativity alongside the classics. Several of those items are still available in the rathskeller which is open to the public and features an inventive cocktail menu. Definitely order the house-made pickles!

The Montana club is the oldest private club west of the Mississippi. Today the club is Helenas best restaurant. Offering both unique and classic dishes the club offers something for everyone.
