Oh my goodness. We just had an awful experience. We really wanted to love this place cuz the food was sooo good and the beer selection was great. However, our bartender was horrible. She was not friendly, and not once acknowledged us nor smiled. We are super easy going and understanding, but no matter how many times we tried to smile at her or say thank you, she didnt even acknowledge us or even smile. It was super uncomfortable. We decided to leave after spending almost $100, and would have spent a hell of a lot more, but we didnt want to spend another dollar in a place where we werent appreciated. I asked for water along with my very first order, as well as multiple other times and never got it. We finally got the water after we paid and my husband refused to leave until he got me water. I waited outside and he brought it out for me and we were harassed for bringing water outside because it was considered an open container. Which is not accurate as it was a clear plastic cup. As much as we wanted to enjoy the place, we will not be back.

As both a patron and driver for this place. I can honestly say Im disappointed with the lack of humility displayed by the bartender on the night of the 19th. She was very rude. I asked her how long the food would take, and I guess she felt offended by the question. Gave me an attitude. Proceeded to gossip about me with other patrons. Never had a problem with a bartender or server in my life. Especially considering Im in the service industry as well, I know what its like to get the typical butt head customer. If Im sitting waiting on food, Im losing money. The end customer is waiting for food too. It was a simple question. She yelled "youre welcome" condescendingly, as if I didnt say thank you. Definitely didnt feel welcome. Ill pass on these orders for now, and my biker buddies and I will go elsewhere.

Just moved here from Washington state, and Im happy to see that there was a place that has live shows every night with no cover charge. The music ranges through all types, so find out which night has the kind you like. It can be a little loud once the bands start playing, but the atmosphere is very lovely and friendly. Service isnt the greatest, but there were so many people there, I couldnt imagine why. The food, however, was surprisingly good for a dive bar, and the price was very reasonable. At the end of the night, dont wait until after last call to close out your tab, or they will close it out for you with a 20% gratuity. In the end, this place is awesome and I will definitely return.

This is an odd place. It has two sides, two different vibes, two different bars. One side is dark, divey, often loud (theres a stage and open mic), has a square bar that dominates most of the room, and has a cramped smoking patio. The other side is more open, its alcoholic offerings more visible and inviting, with better lighting and kick-ass art all over the walls that showcases different local artists. I have spent most of my time at the Yucca in the latter side of this establishment. Bartenders and DJs are super cool, the bar food is standard, and the beer selection is pretty rad.

This place rocks. Its a fun dive during the day, and at night, this place can get NUTS with the right show or artists. Ive seen a few bands here, and the punks and the rock and rollers come out of the woodwork to see a show at this club. Its rowdy but safe, and theres room to slam and to dance, or to sit back and watch the mayhem. Drinks are reasonable, but its not a brewery, just a decent bar. Two sides, one open during shows, and one for the quieter days. I hope this place sticks around; rock clubs in this city die like flies.

Best dive bar in tempe. food is bar food. the pizza is above par for what id expect from a dive bar. Beer selection is fantastic. Mixed drinks are reasonably priced and made stronger then most places. atmosphere can be touch and go at times as when school is in session you get some more dbags then usual but overall its fine, can get a little loud on fri and say nights. Really great place when a semi famous band plays free shows there. Sound system could use some work though.

This has been my favorite dive bar for forever. Live music every single day of the year. Dont want to hang out with your birth family for the holidays? Come hang out with your Yucca family, instead! Great beer and whiskey selection. The tator tots are the best in the West (and the rest of the menu is pretty darn good too). The bouncers will absolutely protect female patrons from douchey dudes who dont know what "no" means, which is fantastic.

We had a great experience last night. I saw in the New Times there is a place we can see up and coming musicians for free. The punk music was very loud; the musicians have great passion and the bar food is exceptional . Thank you Rodney Hu. I hope you will get special recognition from your creator for promoting great live music in the valley. You will receive my treasure for sure (I will be back to enjoy more waffles and chicken).

This place is awesome. They have a great shuffleboard table, have Arsenal matches on TVs in the Arsenal Lounge, including the gigantic projection TV. They also have a rotating selection of craft beers. In addition to that, theyve got some of the best food in town. I suggest the wings, the burgers, the sliders, or, if you want, you can order bacon and eggs. It doesnt hurt that they have the best live music in town.

I LOVE yucca. I go at least two times a week. Handsome Jay is my favorite bartender. Wish the patio was bigger, but honestly thats not even a problem with everything else i love about this place. Live music every night, 85% chance youll love it - great odds seeing as they play a variety of genres. Decent prices, has pool.... Just love everything here.

Great Beer Selection. Went there a month ago, late afternoon on a Wednesday. We sat on the "beer" side and had a great time. I love trying new beers and they had ones that you wont find in other places. Lija was our server. She was very helpful and friendly and we loved everything she suggested. Will definitely be back.

Interesting place. Full out dive bar/music venue on one side, but also has a quieter full service craft beer bar that opens at 3pm. It can be good but in show nights be ready for it to be loud and crowded. Place has also been cited for kitchen violations so maybe stick to drinking.

Great bar, friendly atmosphere, and they always get great bands to play, most shows are free! Insider tip, there are two bar rooms to get your fix at, one is regular beer and hard alcohol selections, the room next door has a wide range of local and good tap beers.
