I’ve played this course a handful of times and it has always been in good shape. I wanted to get some range time in and called the day before to ask. The girl said to come in tomorrow morning and it would be $30 for the day. Showed up only to be told they don’t allow just range time until the afternoon as they don’t want the range busy. Two people were currently using the range. Went to the Raven on Baseline and got a monthly unlimited range pass for $30. Not only does the Raven have a much better practice facility but the layout of the course is much better and condition is on par with Troon courses.

A great desert course with unobstructed views. This is a great resort style course with generous fairways and challenging greens. A Troon managed course and I think they do an excellent job keeping it in top shape. One thing I love about this course is that they didnt line the fairways with homes which, for me, really destroys the atmosphere of the course. I really feel like Im getting away from the stress of the work week when I play here. Johnson Ranch, Gold Canyon were all gorgeous courses that dropped a level in my book because they flooded the course with homes.

I was thoroughly impressed with the property, both courses were in excellent shape. The staff was very friendly and the price was unbelievable . I have played several courses in the Scottsdale Phoenix area these two have become my new favorite. I will definitely play again and I encourage others to play for the price they are a must play...

Today another WHP patron parked right behind my car in the parking lot, blocking my exit. One of WHP staff helped me by looking for the owner of the car and when that failed, successfully maneuvering my car out of that tight spot. Problem solved. I just wish I had gotten his name so I could thank him personally in this post.

Fantastic hidden gem!! 2 courses Cattail a bit longer and harder then Devilsclaw a bit shorter and easier. Both courses are in immaculate shape from tee to green. The staff is among the best I encountered in the valley and 45.00 greens fees in the summer is almost like stealing.
