This was my first time coming to this place of business. I was looking for an indoor go-kart place on the internet for my son birthday. If I knew better I should have read reviews before selecting this place. Theyre not professional & not organized. The information that they provided for their website doesnt work for the Virginia Beach location. It seems that this location is privately owned with American Indoor Karting logo. I had a birthday party there and they supposed to have had at least two hostess/coordinator to help with the birthday party. We (meaning the birthday party) did majority of the work. I hear it one of the workers stated that they are not supposed to help with the birthday party setup. It is a part of the party bundle. I dont think I received the amount customer service & setup of things for what I paid for that you will have to provide your own self. Also the owner was very rude. The coordinator had setup the party group for a track then the owner took another party before us that wasnt fully registered nor right as we waited for them to assisted some other customers off the track & take us next. He didnt even want to accommodate us with more track time. I would not advise anyone to go there unless you can deal with rude & unprofessional people that cant even run a place of business. The employees were too young and inexperienced in customer service let alone trained to do their jobs. The rules and regulations werent used correctly during track race. There was not enough track attendant to run the track. There was no one giving directions to putting on helmets, neck brace & other safety wear. I dont think we got enough track time nor an hour & a half for the party due to them rushing us to get on the track. We came there for a birthday party plus to enjoy the go kart. Its fun driving go karts anyway but not getting what you paid for in service that supposed to be done for the convenience of having a party & setup schedule for track time was an inconvenience as well as made me an unsatisfied customer. ALSO I PAID FOR EVERYTHING IN ADVANCE trying to have least worries/stress to avoid problems but still ran into issues. Tried to follow their terms to everyone to register on a website that didnt work & ask the party to come before the party so they could do the registration safety waiver & orientation of safety rules and regulations. Still didnt get good customer service & cooperation as expected. P.S. This isnt a family organic nor kid friendly place for new beginners riding a Go-Kart

Extremely disappointed with the experience. This place is run extremely inefficiently. Firstly they only had 5-6 karts actually functioning and some of those were not even working completely, more on that later. I assume in an effort to get people who come together in the same group they will do completely separate races for each group, even if one group has only 1 and the next group has only 2... Wait time between 2 heats was over an hour if you wanted to go again that same day. Also even though they have 2 starting lanes they only use 1. They could easily cut the time between heats in half if they were getting the next race ready in one lane while the current race finishes in the other. Some of the karts were way under performing the others, hilariously so if you werent the unlucky person stuck in it. I was one of the unlucky ones my first race and it felt like a complete waste of money as I could not keep up with any of my friends going about 3/4 their speed. In an effort to accommodate our large group, which we appreciated, they tried to get another kart up and running but it was almost as bad as the other slow one. Next up is certain staff members, at least I assume they were staff because they would jump into races whenever they wanted and their was an extra kart then proceed to drive very unsafe (for go karts), frequently cutting people off and causing accidents. I could see 1 or 2 laps to test a kart or something but nope they would do the entire race. The smell... be prepared to have your entire wardrobe smell like gasoline after being their longer than 5 minutes, side effect of having it indoors I suppose. Lastly, their bathrooms were in sad repair with faucets only half working and soap dispensers visibly broken. To their credit there were a couple good points here. Some of the helmets had GoPro attachments which was nice to be able to use. Also if you input the email at start they will email you your race times or print out after the race so you can compare to your friends. All in all extremely disappointed, I only used 2 of the 3 races I paid for (after being there over 4 hours) and manager refused to refund anyone in our party for the extra race we didnt have time to use. Although he did credit us with an extra race for free, so now a lot of us have 2 races left to use at a place we never want to return to... joy. But apparently it is a chain and you can use your account at any of them so heres hoping those locations are in better shape.

Wish I could give zero stars. I liked AIK but it has truly gone down the drain. Ill start with the employees. I walked in and there was about six or seven at the counter doing nothing at all, each on there phones, didnt even notice my party and I walk in. There was way too many employees for a slow Sunday afternoon. Then as my heat was called on I had to search for somebody to get into my cart. This being my fourth or fifth time here I know that you hand your ticket to an employee and they assign you a cart, not the case this time. Had to ask one person out on the track they said they "couldnt help, ask the other guy." As my friend and I are racing the yellow light is constantly on then they switch it to green about three or four laps into the race. The Flag/Color communication was horrible. My friend hit the wall twice and spun out and no yellow flag, no yellow light. the employees didnt even notice til after about 3 minutes or so. (which on an 8 minute race is kinda disappointing.) I then realized one racer we were racing with stopped his cart, undid his seat-belt and got out to re-position his own cart. The "officials" also didnt stop him or care nonetheless. I was attempting to pass the person in front of me as they swerved to hit and block me aggressively. I was right behind them for a good two to three laps and no blue flag was ever raised. There was absolutely no guidance or facilitation at all. After six minutes an employee signals me with his hand to come in, no flag or light. the race is stopped short at six minutes. I pull into pit lane as a man approaches me screaming at me about how I bumped into his son on the track and how he was going to kick my @$$ as soon a I walk outside. Employees let him on the track to yell at me and watched as he cursed in front of an upcoming party of 10 year olds. It really used to be fun but AIK has really gone to the gutter. I cancelled my membership and me and my group of friends will never go here ever again. for actual safety and fun go somewhere else please. Also the man who yelled at me followed us outside and threw a full water bottle at my car and continued to yell at us. Will Never Ever go here again.
