I personally liked the movie theater better before all the "changes"...the reclining seats are a MUST for me now and I love being able to reserve my seat in advance and avoid having to go early to try to get a good seat... Why I dont like the "new" additions- 1-I dont like that there is a mini "bar" in the lobby. I personally dont drink and dont relish sitting next to someone who is downing alcohol during the movie...takes some of the "family friendliness" from the movie theater 2-I dont care for the permanent trays on every reclining chair. It would be nice if they folded up and went out of view when not in use. If you are not eating you can push them away from you but they are still in your "space" and just seems to take some of the roominess away from leg space, etc. Also, if you have to get up to go to the restroom its a little more cumbersome trying to finagle around your tray, etc. to get out and in. 3- I think that there will be more "smells" in the theatre when full with people eating burgers and pizza and drinking alcohol, etc. This may not be a problem for some but we have people in our family who are sensitive to smells and this just makes the theater more "smelly" than usual with just popcorn and soda. All that said, it is "different" ...and everyone has their own preferences over what they like in a movie theater experience. These are just mine. Im just hoping that the cost of all these "extras" which I dont need or want wont affect my ticket price.

This theater has undergone a few state changes over the years, and its currently at its best. In the late 90s it was a nice theater called Carmike Cinemas. As the years went on, my family and friends began to choose the Fairgrounds theater over this one, as Carmike was clearly losing money and falling into disrepair and understaffing. Then, as the Fairgrounds Mall became a ghost town and the theater there began to show signs of decline, RC Theater popped up in Reading with massive IMAX screens and a clean, modern interior. But a few years back, Carmike Cinemas came under new ownership and the place became Fox Berkshire. Soon it boasted comfortable recliner chairs, easy seat reservations online, and a clean, improved interior. Now this theater is the one to beat in the area. If you want a comfortable, unique movie-going experience, look no further.

Theater has been very outdated compared to other theaters however it appears they are changing. They now run 2 theaters (Theater 1 & 2) with leather power recliners, tons of leg room, and you can reserve your seat in advance (this is great for opening day movies where you can buy tickets out a week and be guaranteed a great seat without having to wait in a line for 2 hours). However, old theaters are still old seating, if your movie isnt in one of the newer ones Reading is a better choice. Food is pretty standard though they have been expanding. 2 1/2 stars for the older theaters 5 for the newer ones.... if they add some additional food choices and fix the old theaters they will have a gem.

Are you tired of the thrill and spontaneity of going to see a movie on Friday night, completely on a whim? Does the idea of paying fees to order online tickets or showing up earlier in the day (or days in advance) to secure seats get you all giddy and excited? Do you enjoy all but guaranteeing that youll be seated next to strangers, unable to move because, thats right, the seats are reserved? Then its theater is the place for you! Honestly though, this reserved seat thing needs to go. Movies are meant to be a quick, cheap date when you cant think of anything better to do and Netflix isnt cutting it. This isnt a rock concert of Broadway production. Calm down, Fox.

LOVED THE SEATS! The snacks seemed more pricey than most theaters, but Im generally shocked the prices all movies charge, and the tickets seemed similarly priced to most places and definitely had the best seats Ive ever experienced at the movies! The service was great, and they had no problem checking ingredient lists for me (for an allergy) and I realized they made a mistake on the receipt and brought it to their attention (at least 10 minutes afterwards as I was looking it over) and they took care of it very politely and refunded the difference to me... Great experience, cant wait to go back! :)

Theres really nothing too special about this theater and I have only found myself going if they have the right movie showing at the right time. I find the special recliner seats they have completely unneccessary and they detract from the movie experience every so often when someone decides to adjust their seat. The food options are way too typical. Update: have to knock a star off my review for attending a PG13 screening where the theater staff allowed a family with a baby and a toddler into the film. The cinema needs some standards so people dont have to hear crying babies throughout a movie.

If youve any inclination to see a movie and have never been here, its definitely worth trying out. The seating is like a recliner from your living room, electrically operated and quite comfortable. Tray tables swing out to sit and in to hold whatever snacks you may purchase from the snack bar or kitchen. The sound systems and projection screens are state-of-the-art, and, (in a major departure from the movie theaters of my youth) the theaters are neat and clean. You can even reserve your seat on their web site before going, so you know just what to expect. A pleasant experience all around.

The best local place for watching movies on the big screen. You can easily reserve your seats online to make checking in fast and easy. For those that prefer, they sell wine and beer also. And the seats are crazy comfortable! You can choose a single, double or loveseat. Theyre all done in soft leather or leather-like material, have built in cup and snack holders, they recline and allow the arm rests to be lifted between seats for "snuggling. The leg rests are large and so comfortable. Its as comfy as you can get at the movie theater!!

Been going here for a while and I loved the place but my experience has rendered my experience as dissapointing. Went to go see Warcraft and the power went out which fried their sound rack, which then made the movie unshowable. We werent allowed to get a refund just a raincheck ticket where we have to call and ask to see if they have seats available. So in other words the seats that I paid for I cant get, so I just have to stick with the seats that they have to give me which I didnt pay for.

Most comfortable seats in a movie theatre that Ive ever sat in. Reclining seats are amazing. Theatre sizes are smaller than typical. Movie selections are current. Prices are also typical. Its a great time saver to be able to pick your seats ahead online, however its a shame they couldnt partner with Fandango to get this done more easily through their app instead of going to a website.

Im disappointed with the sound quality. Normally action movies are very loud and rumbling, not here. Also, we had to reserve our seating if we wanted to sit together, however we could not choose our seats. Of course I was the lucky short woman who sat behind a big, tall giant of a man, I couldnt even recline in their AWESOME leather recliners because of the man in front of me.
