As a place to take young children to spend a day, theres really very little competition in the area. The baby animals and Halloween days were the highlights when my kids were younger. There is an annual craft festival there that is nice to visit. Lots of history and knowledgeable folks to talk to. If you go, be sure to get a loaf of their home-baked breads, simply delicious!

Very nice place to take a step back in time. Staff was very nice and informative. Great place to let your kids realize how easy they really have it in modern times. My daughter already wants to become a volunteer. Thanks for keeping things like this alive and well.

Went here as a chaperone on a class trip. It is beautiful here and the people are so friendly and they explain the way of living in a way that makes it very interesting for children and so much fun.
