We were left stranded at the Franklin Institute! Our tour guide convinced us to get off at stop 9 and enjoy the Franklin Institute because the last bus would leave Independence Hall at 4:45 p.m. We went into the FI from 1-4:30 p.m. and then waited from 4:30 - 6 p.m.at stop 9. I called the dispatcher at 4:30 and was told the last bus had just left the Independence Hall area and should be along shortly. My 8 year old grandson and I ended up standing in the cold, dark night. Shortly after 5 p.m. I called the dispatcher again and overheard him talking to the driver. The driver "claimed" to be at stop 16. We ran across six lanes of traffic to stand near the Franklin Institute. After waiting about 20 minutes I called the dispatcher and did not get an answer. We waited until 6:10 p.m. and then caught a city bus back to Independence Hall, missing 2/3s of the tour and being stranded. Ive never had this experience with a tour bus company before!

Visited Philadelphia with my wife and looked forward to the open top bus ride. It started great but traffic due to the labor day concert soon made the travel really bad. But they did the best the could. The guide talked constantly but had good info. He made the statement several times that the provide a bus at 5:30 from the 1st stop to the end so there are no stranded riders. We got off and later got back on to ride to Chinatown for dinner. We got back at the designated bus stop at 5:16 at sure enough the bus came by the stop at 5:40. But as we waved for him the light turned green and he never stopped. My wife, who had a foot disability, had to walk several blocks back to our car. I called and the guy said yes that was the last bus and while he was sorry there was nothing he could do. I sent an email but never got a reply. My thought is use at your own risk.

Got the Two Day Ticket for this Tour. If you want to save 20% off visit The Savvy Pass website. They do honor that coupon. It can also save on other attractions as well. So we decided to do the full loop prior to getting off at stops. We wanted to get the background narrative prior to exploring on our own. One of the stops we wanted to do was the Rocky Steps. Our guide "Z" was kind enough to give everyone 5 minutes on this stop and allowed us to take pictures and get back on instead of waiting. Luckily there was no lines for the Rocky Statue and we were able to take pics with Rocky and run up the steps! The only downfall was since it was winter the buses dont come around as frequent. So at one point we did wait 35 minutes in the freezing cold for a bus. But we made the best of it none the less!

Great tour of Philadelphia and even better that you can hop on and hop off -- just make sure you know times for the buses. You may also want to bring some earplugs as some of the tour guides are a little over-excited about Philly -- also jacket might be good too for the double-decker bus -- and watch your head with low tree branches. Recommend doing the Big Bus through the Philadelphia Pass which will get you on the bus but will also get you access to many of the attractions it stops at too...will save you some big bucks! Would recommend to others for sure as my colleagues from overseas and I enjoyed the ride.

Our first day in Philly we spent approximately $20 in taxi fare to just tour the penitentiary. Quickly decided to continue our tour of the city on foot until we were greeted by Big Bus. For $30-35 we were able to see everything we wanted to see in Philly with the ability to get off at every stop and browse! Plus, we were impressed by the stories and history we learned on the ride. Excellent value!! One employee was exceptional good. He recommended us to eat at High Street, which is a must for all to try.

Great tour today! Maggie was fabulous. We thought we knew our history, but she sure did school us today. Very knowledgeable and knew her facts. Made the entire ride so interesting, we made sure to wait and catch her as our guide after a stop. Well worth the wait, as she filled the ride with so much interesting information. So much better than the "jokers" we have had on previous tours with other companies. Thank you Maggie!

Your tour guides are very knowledgeable, however they never stop talking, They talk so fast that it is impossible for a tourist to digest the information. This is not fun! When I asked the guide if he could talk slower, he informed me that this was a tour and he had to include all the information. I had such a headache, I had to get off the bus. I would not recommend the tour for this reason.

If youre looking for where to join the tour go to 5th and Market (No idea why google has the wrong address). The tour is interesting and well done, but I did think it was heavily overpriced for a 1.5 hour bus tour. If you will be using the on/off service over two days then maybe it will be worth it.

The service is awful. Buses are constantly full, you will spend over an hour trying to get on a bus. If you are lucky you will get a driver that allowes you to get on and stand for the ride. NEED MORE BUSES RUNNING!!!! Otherwise it is a complete waste of time and money. What a waste this was.

Its not a hop on hop off bus tour like they advertise. We waited 35 minutes at one stop then at other stop we watched the bus turn on the street just before the bus stop sign which we were standing under. As a result we missed seeing Independence Hall and the Liberty at the end the tour.

Dont fall for the Philadelphia City Pass Scam. This is where they lead you to believe, through very crafty advertising, that this bus will also take you to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden. We ended up paying an additional $30 to get a taxi to take us across the Delaware river.

We got three days passes and we covered most of the places. The Guide was very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Always remembers every visitors destination and tells us when we are about to arrive, so we can focus on surroundings. i appreciate his role.

No A/C and not stopping at stops even though there are passengers. I loved big bus in new york and san fransisco, but big bus from philly needs lot of improvement, including service and vehicles.

Knowledgeable and entertaining tour guides make this a great experience. You can get a 2-day ticket for just $3 more than a 1 day pass. Makes it easy to get around.

The views were stunning. Perfect option for a limited visit in Philly. Buses were clean, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Stops were well placed.
