Lake Tobias Wildlife Park is a family-friendly destination offering a variety of experiences, from Safari tours to petting zoos. It's a place where both adults and children can learn about wildlife while having fun. The park is especially noted for its affordability and the quality of its services, making it a must-visit for animal lovers.

I am rating this with a five as opposed to a four because of its location. Nestled in the "Alabama" portion of Pennsylvania it is hard to find such a nice place to visit. If you are familiar with the Lehigh Valley Zoo (LVZ), Lake Tobias is both better and worse in comparison. It is less developed (walking paths, etc.) than LVZ which makes it difficult to push strollers and wheelchairs. However, there are sign everywhere advertising that they will transport those who cannot walk on their own to the Safari and other attractions via gators and golf carts that are in abundance. LVZ, I believe, has a wider-variety of animals as well. On the flip slide, the Safari is fantastic and the animals are extremely social and well-adjusted. I have never visited any type of zoo and had large animals (zebra, bison, elk, etc.) come right up to me and take a carrot from my hand. Lake Tobias is definitely a place to visit if you find yourself in the area.

This place is a true gem!! I bought a living social deal, that is how I found the place. The history is great, the founder truly took care in the planning of the layout of the entire experience. His background was in excavation and landscape design, so the grounds and the flow of the tours, whether on guided bus or on foot, are rich and exciting. The buses are old school buses with the roofs and windows sheared off, so it is truly an open air, high touch experience. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable, the grounds are immaculate and the scheduled shows teach kids about preservation and care of their natural surroundings. A terrific destination for anyone who wants to see an incredibly wide variety of wildlife across 150 acres of sprawling, rolling hills.

This place couldnt be better! The Safari is awesome... the animals come right up to the bus and are so friendly and gentle. Its not every day that your little one gets to pet a Buffalo!!! The Petting Zoo is always a highlight and while Daddy doesnt like the Reptile House, Mommys always game to touch a crocodiles tail. Its a great way to expose your kids to a variety of animals. My daughter just turned one and had such a wonderful time there. Its so much better than a traditional zoo with little actual animal interaction. Its really well priced too! We had to go multiple times because my daughter didnt have the staying power to do the Safari ride and the other attractions, but it was delightful each time.

So much fun for me and my family!!! All of the animals were amazing to see and interact with! From the petting zoo to the safari ride it was all a great experience! My personal favorite part of our trip to Lake Tobias was the safari ride, while on the ride animals are everywhere! They walk up to the cart and are available for everyone to touch and feed while listening to a brief summary of the animals natural habitat, food preferences, and so on. Do beware though, it is a rather bumpy ride in the sunshine, slather on the sunscreen and watch out for antlers of the animals nearby, they tend to swing them quite a bit. This was a very enjoyable trip and I hope to go again soon!

It was our first visit and we plan to go back. The park is clean and affordable. Their site has the cost of the park and the food so you know exactly what youll spend. Plan on it taking about 4 hours at a reasonable pace to see everything. Someone recommended sitting in the front of the bus for the safari. It seemed on our trip the animals went more to the back so I cant say it makes much difference. They are buses with the tops cut off so you have a good view regardless. Note that you cant buy tickets online, you wait in line in your car to buy them before parking. A bit old school but the line moved along.

Awesome place. A wide variety of animals and at a super reasonable price. Dont waste money at overpriced zoos. This place is just amazing. Be sure to sit at the front of the bus on the safari tour because you will be able to be closer to the animals when they try to come on the bus!!! Also as little tip, buy the safari cups and do the safsri first. Feed the animals with the park food and when the safari is done, just get a refill of park food. Much cheaper. Plus bring quarters so you can buy food for the adorable goats at the petting zoo. Trust me it is worth it.

Awesome place! The Safari tour is great and you can buy food to feed the animals. They also have a petting zoo and other zoo exhibits. They also sell for there. The food prices are between 5-9 dollars for combo meals. Admission is $7.00 for ages 3 and up 2 and under is free. The Safari tour is $6.00 for ages 3 and up, under 2 is free. Parking is free. They also have a military discount free park admission and Safari tour military ID required. Its great for all ages and worth checking out! You wont be disappointed!

This park gets better and better! Lots of new animals and housings since my last time there some years ago. The Safari bus line was a long wait, but the ride was long as well and worth the wait once you were out there. Our Safari guide said they will be adding giraffes next year too! Prices have gone up a bit, and it seems you have to buy everything(no bringing stuff from home). Also, I sure wish theyd have a water fountain around to fill reusable bottles; there is far too much plastic waste here.

Absolute blast! Free parking, and only $13 for both park entry to view exhibits and to go in the Safari Tour. Their military discount will get you free entry and free Safari Tour access, very nice gesture by the owners to show their appreciation. Animals are well cared for and the Reptile show was very enjoyable. Recommend you show up earlier in the day for the Safari Tour to get a great view of all the animals before the heat of the day takes effect. A must visit!

Awesome place. Took the grandkids here on 5/18 and they had a blast. The safari was great and they got to hand feed llamas and elk. Nice variety of animals in the zoo - well taken care of and spacious habitats. The petting zoo was a highlight as was the reptile center. The kids got to get up close and personal with snakes & alligators. Reasonably priced admission, food and gift shop. Hubby was free as a veteran. Would recommend. Worth the 2 hour drive

Absolutely loved it there! Wasnt a super long drive and with 3 kids thats huge. The price for entry, which included The Safari Tour, was less than what it would have cost at the Zoo for 2 people let alone 5. Staff was friendly, exhibits were well maintained and very kid oriented. They even have free face painting for the kids. Only thing we didnt do was the petting zoo, but all animals were close enough to fencing for feeding. We will definitely be back soon.
