Shame on Ardmore Music Hall! Went to see our good friends band tonight, my wife Susan has a bad back, she walks with a cane, has 1 foot that she can barely walk with and also has panic attacks when under any kind of duress. We are both 55 years old going on 56. The first band finished playing, Susan said she was going outside to smoke a cigarette. She came back and said they wouldnt let her out back and wanted a 55 year old handicapped woman on a cane that cant quite walk great to walk all the way through the crowd out to the front when the back door was 15 feet away. I went over with Susan to kindly ask the staff if she could step out for a smoke and the young staff members said no. My wife said, then we are leaving and our car is parked out back right there, we are going. She tried to walk out the back door and the young staff members held this woman on a cane, my wife back and impeded her movement., Susan had a major panic attack and was screaming and crying uncontrollably as they held her and then they let her go. Susan was traumatized from the time we left until we got home and she went to bed sobbing. All we did was go to see a band at Ardmore Music Hall and we were treated as if we were 25 years old. She already feels bad enough that she has been on a cane for over a year. A very disrespectful incident on the part of the young Ardmore Music Hall staff to treat an elder and a handicapped person this way. If you are handicapped you can probably relate. I am very upset that my wife was traumatized by the Ardmore Music Hall staff. I felt the need to let people know about it.

Went to the Tal Wilkenfeld show on Saturday, March 5th. "Doors open at 6:30, no wait 6:45, sorry we said 6:30 but we actually meant 7:00 pm." So already things dont look good. This being my first visit to this venue, I paid extra for reserved seating. What does that get you, you ask? It gets you a very hard and uncomfortable chair with an obstructed view of the stage. General Admission gets to stand in front of you! If I ever go to this venue again Ill keep the extra money I shelled out for reserved seating and get GA as you are treated much better.. A word to the Venue, move the reserved seating up to the front of the stage and have GA stand behind! When Tal finally took the stage (~9:30) she tore the place up. If you ever get a chance to see her take the opportunity, you wont be sorry.

If you live for live music, this is your place! AMH has an impressive history with many incredible musicians having taken the stage over the years when the venue was under different ownership. Currently the bookings are stellar and it is a real pleasure to see fantastic music in pretty much the perfect setting and in an easy-to-access venue. You can see funk, reggae, rock, tribute bands and more here. Parking is simple and the drive is easy from anywhere in the area. Was so happy to be able to see musicians like Jackie Green, Melvin Seals, Bill Kreutzman and Marco Benevento perform at the AMH. So fortunate to have a place where strangers stop strangers just to shake their hands. Cant wait for my next show!

Music was great. Service was s-l-o-w. Only one waitress & two bartenders. We were told beers were three dollars each, but when we got the tab we were told it was a mistake & they were actually four dollars each. We were told a server would come to take our food order; then we were told to go to a window to order food. Menu options were few(website lists panninis which were not available) and they were out of some of the items. I understand this is a fairly new venue , but additional staff is neeed.

Has hosted practically every great band - local to world-known - since 23 East Cabaret days in the seventies!! Best band ever to rock the place, also since the seventies, has been Cafe Ole. They continue to pack it with their annual Reunion show during the holidays. Looking forward to this years show, which is also a loving tribute to the best guitarist since Hendrix, Ronnie Smith!!!

Great music venue! The drinks were reasonable priced, bathroom was well taken care of and general admission offered great space to stand and view the show from all angles. Reserved seating is set behind the GA and if I had gotten seats, I believe I would have still had a good time even with everyone standing in front of me. Easy access getting inside and organized.

Didnt know this place existed...only went because Loudon Wainwright III was playing there... Pleasantly surprised. Intimate space, nice people, no hassle... Seats were all taken when we got there, so they opened the curtain on the mezzanine and we had a great view. Would definitely return. Easy parking, too...

Horrible! And completely sexist! Only girls are allowed on stage and around the DJ. The bouncers were aggressive and pushy, and frankly I dont feel safe going back here. Completely blown away by the blatant segregation of this place. If youre looking for a good venue, there are other places that are more fun!

Food is marginal at best...fried fried and fried. Soft drinks are all disgusting...flat and horrible tasting. Obviously just go to enjoy the music, and if you want alcohol stick with liquor straight up or bottled beer. Avoid taps, sodas and food. Staffing is 2 or 3 people max. Wow!

Excellent music venue! Good acoustics. Friendly staff. They bring in a wide variety of bands. And if you want to make it dinner and music, there are several great restaurants within two blocks: Tired Hands, Not Your Average Joes, Hunan, Barbacoa, and several others.

Parking can be a bit tricky, but its worth it. The music hall is on the smaller side but youll be close to the venue. We had a chance to interact with the band and converse with them after the show. They serve food and drink, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

A pretty cool place to get up close and intimate with your favorite artist my only complaint would be that the beers are very expensive. I didnt drink there for that reason but then again I didnt go there to drink. Its in a decent section just outside Philadelphia.
