Played for the 1st time about two weeks ago. Found the staff very friendly, and accommodating. Course was in great shape - fairways lush, greens receptive (albeit on smaller side) and roll true. Front 9 offers slightly more generous fairway width than the back. By most standards, its probably a 4 star - given that its in the North, North, Woods, it definitely deserves the 5th star. Will definitely return (drive down from Lake Gogebic), and highly recommend it for golfers looking for a quality course. Best tip received from Starter - dont go left, all day; dont go long - wise advice.

Course was in excellent shape. Been coming here for years, and never seen it better. Fairways well defined and full, rough around greens is lush and tough, greens fast enough, bunkers in great shape and overall much nicer. Hear they have a new superintendent this year that came from Minocqua Country Club. Keep up the good work!

As usual, we were playimg the 14th hole and a bear comes out of the woods and mauls my friend...however, as usual, its The Jimmy in a bear costume looking for his bar time picnic basket of love..the good news is the greens were really rolling!

Trout Lake is a beautiful golf course, it is very easy to find, the golf course has small,elevated greens that are tricky, but it is a very scenic golf course as well, well worth the drive.

Staff was rude and unwelcoming. Showed little respect to patrons. I will not be going back, dont waste your money.
