BIGSHCLUNK

My word I miss SPOKES! Now known as Route 20 Outhouse. This was often a stop for me between Milwaukee and Kenosha. The service has been on a decline for awhile now. But today @ about 5PM took the prize. Walked into the bar (not full) walked all the way down to the stage end and took our seats. Two women behind the bar (working??). We were on the less populated end of the bar and ignored. The woman on that end (silver/gray hair) busy on the terminal doing whatever. Then walks down grabs a ticket book, silly me thinks shes going to come our way. NOPE, back to the terminal and then to the ticket book. Now we have been in the hospitality business, I understand if your BUSY! But you were NOT. No acknowledgement , nothing. We went down the road to a competitor, a little busier, still had my cocktail within two minutes. See ya Route 20 ...... You got one star... cause Google made me do it!

Perfect... I travel here to the area twice a week from Alabama.. I call ahead they will have fresh coffee waiting... the soups are always special. It has a bar separate from dinning area. So this place can accommodate anyone who really appreciates good food. If your looking for a good Ribeye tell them you want the big Ribeye. Its on the wooden menu for dinner. But trust me they will go out of there way to please the Customer.. I read a review about a pulled pork sandwich.... I have been giving reviews for years.. ask yourself if you were to go through the trouble to write a bad review..... you would of had them correct your order... besides if you want a barbecue sandwich?? Maybe you should go to a barbecue place...

Worst pulled pork sandwich ever. It must have been pulled last month because it was mushy and had a borderline stank to it. The pretzel bun was slathered with so much butter it was awful. Fries mushy too and not quite done. My first inclination was to return it - but regrettably I didnt. I added some ketchup and called it a day since I was meeting someone there for business reasons. I felt ill within hours later and became quite sick as the evening wore on - luckily I was home. No doubt the meat was bad - I would stay as far away from the food at this place as possible - I dont see myself returning. Disappointing visit.

Been wanting come here for a while wish I would have waited longer. Ordered the broiled fish. Small portions compared to fish fry for same price and it was dried out, over cooked and/or had been sitting out. It wasnt really hot when served, but came quickly. I assume it was sitting in a cue waiting for someone to order. The also forgot to serve the whole order had to ask for our coleslaw. Staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. It will be a while before we come back if ever.

This is hardly the outhouse the name suggests. It has that old rustic saloon style look but everything else about this place is top notch, including the food, and especially the live sound system. The local band I saw the night I was there to see sounded great compared to anywhere else Ive heard them play. Music was well-mixed, full-sounding and big but not overwhelming. Oh yeah the sexy Barmaids are quick with the bottle openers too, my tongue never got dry!

My sister and I went to see Tab Benoit at this venue. Even though we had to stand the whole time, we realized what a treat it was to be so close to the Artist! It was fantastic! They have a bar area and a back patio with a very cool fireplace. I had dinner here two weeks ago, but was disappointed. The food was okay, but for the price lacked presentation and youd think youd get at least a small salad with a piece of fish and rice. The venue for music? Awesome!

After waiting 1 1/2 hours for our food :( the ribs were delivered, the cold, stale fries came 10 minutes later and the salad never made it. UGH!! We asked to speak with the manager, Randy, who ended up "comping" the entire meal including drinks ... which was the only saving grace. He was very nice about it and I think genuinely sorry. At least he tried and the ribs were good. Not the best start to our vacation but "oh well".

Horrible service! We waited 20 minutes for a server, breading fell off the fish, impossible to get a second drink....band was supposed to start at 8:30 and didnt. Dont advertise the start time if you cant make it. I havent been here for a few years because of these same issues and thought maybe they had improved, but obviously have not. My friends and I wont be back!

BEWARE! Nice venue and good food but before i went i heard stories of bartenders giving you the wrong change or putting drinks on two tabs instead of just one, etc. Sure enough, my first time there, i bought some shots with a 50 dollar bill and she "thought it was a 20". Luckily i didnt just put my cash away because i would have lost 30 bucks! BEWARE!

Great atmosphere! Very clean establishment. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. With a friendly staff I was very satisfied with my visit. Wasnt overcrowded though it is only Tuesday. They do live bluegrass every third Thursday. 5 star without a doubt. Fill this place up its definitely deserving of your business!

I ordered a full rack of ribs. They were hands down the best ribs I have ever had. I was able to eat the entire order with a knife and fork. The meat just fell off the bone. Not fatty, good quality meat. I enjoyed them so much I had to tell the owner in person they were the best. Get the ribs, you wont be disappointed.

Love this place. Jeff the Cook and Ashley our server were AWESOME! We got the half rack of ribs...OMG! TENDERRRRR! FALL OFF THE BONE! Also got the wings...They were delicious as well. Most definitely be a place I would eat at. Especially being a Truck driver..you get tired of petro/ta and other truck stop food!

Not good for music stage is 2 feet tall had upstairs for bands only so they lost 10 tables at least real stupid .they lost food capabilities for those tables no room bar area should of been on west exterior wall so I could see band if they were. The size of shack not comming back for music ever again

Food wasnt the greatest. Hubby ordered chicken alfredo with no broccoli and they brought it out with broccoli anyways, then took it back, and plucked out the broccoli pieces, and gave it back lol. The atmosphere though, was nice. Live band was rockin ! Id come back, just to see the live bands.

Great food, awesome bands Rt20 is one of my favorite places to grab some food and enjoy any number of bands they have come thru. All kinds of music from old school metal, to jazz, you name it they have some great bands come in - which is really why I love stopping in.
