Drove down from Milwaukee and had read good reviews of the place, but I can say it was unquestionably the best live music venue Ive been to. Not only was the sound quality top notch, but the whole vibe of the club - sort of a jazz club feel - makes it very appealing. The set-up for this show was cabaret tables: 4 rows, 5 per row, 4 seats per table. And while they definitely were arranged in a way to allow maximum people close to the stage, at not point did it remotely seem cramped. I would definitely drive the 90 minutes to see shows here again.

I have been going to SPACE and Union Pizza for at least five years. They have a wood burning pizza oven where u can order the pizza to go and bring it into the concert. Every year they have stepped up their talent offerings and expanded their facilities without losing that intimate, fan to entertainer experience. Usually the entertainment comes out and has casual conversations and sells their merch. This is my number one venue for music! I know some of the talent who performs at SPACE and they cant express how wonderful they have been treated!

Loved the Space! Went there recently to see The Lone Bellow for two sold out shows. The second night we were supposed to be on the list but somehow we were left off. Staff was very friendly and after communicating with the band they let us in with no hassle. It is a great intimate setting for music, not a bad spot in the room. Ventilation in the room makes it a lot easier to be close to the band without cooking and waitress service was impressive given the crowd. I would love to see more bands here!

A great venue for music. Its a very small and intimate music club with both reserved tables and a section for standing. Since its small, its best to buy tickets early for popular acts since this place seeks out fast. They have a full bar with a good beer selection. The club has fantastic acoustics so every type of music sound incredible. Also is you choose, you can bring in fits from the pizza restaurant that is connected to the club.

Kermit only played for 60 minutes at tonights 7 PM show. Very disappointing that they ended 75 minutes before the next show. Dont know if that is on the Kermit or the venue. Not a good value for my $44 seat. Usually Space is usually an excellent deal, but watch out when the artist puts on two shows in a night. My bad I should have waited a day to catch Kermit at Fitzgeralds the on Saturday for $25.

Evanston Space is the perfect music venue for any type of concert! I have seen and photographed multiple shows there and I have been very impressed with the talent that they bring to the Chicago area. If you see a concert there, make sure to go early to their restuarant because they have awesome food -- especially their pizza! :)

For not being Downtown, SPACE does an amazing job booking solid talent. First venue in Chicago to host Lake Shore Dive so they do a good job getting talent before they blow up on the scene, but they also get amazing acts like Dr. John. Also, their cocktails are perfectly stiff!

Love Space! They have some of my favorite performers (Barrence Whitfield, Raul Malo, Tab Benoit) in a more intimate setting. Probably less than 200 seats. Cheap bottles, and reasonable mixed drinks. Union Pizza is right next door for some interesting small plates and cocktails.

What an incredible venue to see quality music! The acoustics and atmosphere are great. My wife and I did dinner at the connected pizza joint and loved it as well. Weve been here multiple times and will be back hopefully many more (especially whenever Martin Sexton is in town).

Gets crowded and the seated area dominates so heavily that the standing room ticket holders feel like they are in a walkway. The servers circle the room that way too, proving it is just a walkway for the higher paying customers. Intimate, but only comfortable if you buy a seat.

I came here with my gf for a concert featuring Andrew Combs, Jay Nash, and Christopher Paul Stelling. Concert lasted from 8-11pm, and Jay Nash was probably my favorite. The venue is small, but the seats are pretty close to the stage, and the acoustics are great.

Best place for live music in Evanston. If you get there early grab some dinner at Union. Quick note: you can bring Union pizza into the show, so grab your seats and order a pizza. They will notify you when its ready.

We had my brothers wedding reception here! The Old Fashioned open bar was amazing!! And the food was delicious! The reception area was very spacious but intimate! We didnt feel over crowded there. I loved it!

Here for the Eric Hutchinson show. Love the look and feel of the space, food from Union pizza which shared the space smelled delicious. Yet the noise from resturant didnt interfere with the show at all.

The food in the restaurant is fabulous but the venue is unbelievable. Small, intimate, and they book very cool acts. I saw The Bad Plus there and they are out of this world good at what they do.
