We have stayed at the Heathman Lodge about 8 of the last 10 months. Each stay we make what I consider to be simple requests at the time of the reservation; must be on 4th floor, king bed with Tempurpedic mattress. Nothing to difficult, for competent individual. Not for these folks, of the last 8 stays reservations have been incorrect 4 times. Yes that is a 50% default rate, very impressive. Today we checked in to room 422, noticed right away the room had 2 queen beds. Notified staff who reassigned us to 418 assuring us that this room was the bomb. Right away we noticed 2 queen beds. Again notified front desk who then reassigned us to room 481, again assuring us this room was beyond expectations. This room has a king bed, but the bed is not a Tempurpedic, which is why my wife and I are writing a review at 2:30 AM. The mattress is like sleeping on concrete with a blanket as padding. Had it not been for the fact that we had already hauled our luggage to three different rooms on the Heathman weight loss program, we would have made the inept staff assign us to another room. Bye the way, sewing two pieces of cloth around 2 lbs of cotton does not constitute a pillow, at least not one of comfort. And to top it off each time we confronted the staff on the room issue, we got the attitude, although I dont think there was any extra charge for that, it was complimentary. I noticed one of the reviews on this site stated the rooms had views, of what I am not sure. Some of the rooms offer views of the blackberry bushes, some offer views of the state office buildings across the street, and some offer a view and the noise of the freeway. I guess those are views, just not the kind that I would enjoy. Makes me wonder who is writing these reviews, and how much they are being paid for the review. We come to Vancouver once a month, and have for the last 16 yrs. stay at a hotel for 2 to 3 nights each visit. I will not stay at this lodge again. We plan to cut our current stay here short, checking out tomorrow and moving to the Stay Bridge hotel down the street. Service and facility cant possibly be any worse.

We highly recommend the Heathman Lodge for an awesome experience in planning an event and/or lodging! We are from Spokane and couldnt easily visit venue options from a distance. The event manager and lodging manager made our wedding rehearsal dinner and lodging event a total success!!!!! Keri, Haylie and their wonderful staff went out of their way to accommodate us 100%. The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted, cozy and classy! The lounge, restaurant and event area was so big and comfortable for our big group we never felt claustrophobic like we would have in a regular establishment. We had lodging reservations for 4 days surrounding the event (rehearsal dinner, held in the Mezzanine). Months ahead of time Keri and Halie helped out with all the preparations and all our expectations were more that satisfied. Final decisions were made with ease. All of our big party (about 30 stayed at the Lodge) mentioned how well they were treated, how big the rooms were and how the staff went out of their way to help us with any details. One of my nieces arrived needing to find a bank and the man at the front desk got permission to take her right away in their van to accommodate her, WOW!! The mezzanine was perfect for our rehearsal dinner. We did a plated dinner, I provided the grooms cake and they had a beverage bar with an attending bartender during the whole time (6 hours). My husband brought our own speaker and microphone (we wanted to toast the bride and groom individually) and we could hear everyone very well even with it being an "open loft". I was a little worried about the mezzanine being accessible to all Lodge guests but it actually made the atmosphere cozy and not "stuffy and stiff". After the rehearsal dinner ended around 7:30 we invited the rest of the guests (who werent in the wedding party) to enjoy hor dvores (provided by the Lodge) and was pleasantly surprised at how it all turned out. We had the room until 11pm. We had a 110% enjoyment of our time in Vancouver. An excellent experience!!

Had an NYE gig in Portland and we stayed two-nights at The Heathman Lodge. Definitely accessible to PDX if you have a vehicle. Tips: - Fourth Floor (Business) has a few perks but cost more. The continental breakfast was good. It didnt have much by way of savory items but it did have a DIY waffle station. I would recommend Business Level if youre planning on spending a lot of time at the hotel or just nearby Vancouver. If youll be in and out a lot and want to save money, the standard rooms are probably just fine. - Amenities are great. They have lemon water and hot drinks available for guest at the Front Desk. The lobby near the Front Desk and restaurant is pretty cozy. Most importantly, WiFi is free and fast. - The restaurant on site is great and deserves it own review. Go there but try to get a table or a seat away or not facing the weird giant colonialist painting. For Parks & Rec fans, the painting low-key reminds of the old Pawnee Pioneer murals. Other than that, we had an absolutely lovely dinner at the restaurant. Overall, the property was absolutely charming. Recommended for anyone looking for a hotel with a Northwest lodge vibe. The location is very unassuming and close to strip malls as well as the Vancouver Mall. But once you get inside, you almost forget that theres an Olive Garden and a Ross down the street.

I was hired as the wedding coordinator for a wedding/reception at the Heathman Lodge last weekend. The staff at the Heathman greatly exceeded my expectations. They set up the rooms and my clients were able to use the space for their rehearsal and then stay to decorate. I have been involved in weddings, conventions and other events for over a decade and often weddings in a hotel look like a corporate event. Once we got the room decorated, the staff assisted me in getting the lighting just right for both the ceremony and reception. I couldnt be more thrilled how efficient the crew transitioned the 2 spaces from the ceremony to the reception while guests enjoyed a cocktail just outside the doors. Throughout the entire day, the staff was easily called and responded kindly every time no matter how big or small the request was. Thank you all and I hope to work with you again someday at the Heathman Lodge!

Our first time at the hotel. Stayed on the 4th floor and access to lots amenities which were great. The rooms had Tempurpedic mattresses on the beds and access to breakfast in the morning and on cetain day its says wine/beer reception in the evening. However...if your traveling with kids i suggest that you look in the pool! I normally take a peek but when you have kids excited and thinking its all great you tend not to look before you leap. The first night...no issues. Great pool it was heated and awesome. However, the next day my child was eager to swim and she was staying in the shallow end of the pool. Then she took a lap. She saw Poo. While I dont blame the establishment. My vacation us quickly ruined. I can only hope that they cleaned the pool and did water testing. Which now makes me wonder what time was the last time it was tested....As for my child...hoping she overcomes her "aggh".
