A few weeks ago we held our daughters wedding ceremony and reception at Sodo Park. We had about 170 guests attending from all over the country, with a few coming from Europe. The venue was very hip and beautifully appointed with ivory draping and little Italian lights for that added class and sparkle. However, our food and service experience was not consistent with the $200 per person cost we paid. We had the meal served family style. We had expected the food to be served hot or very warm. It was just warm at best. The roasted vegetables were served cold, and I mean "refrigerator" cold. At first, I thought I made an error when ordering the side dish, but later found out the vegetables should have been served hot. The timing of the food service was off as well. Almost a half an hour lapsed from the time the salads were served and the platters of food were placed on the tables. That delay threw off the timing for many of the events scheduled for the remainder of the evening. In addition, many of our guests complained about the long lines at the bar, since the mixed drinks were somewhat "lite" and they had to get refills much too often. Having said all of this, we would recommend the venue; however we would recommend having Herban Feast (the caterer) assign a person on-site, with authority, who would take "direct" responsibility for making sure the food and service was nothing less than excellent.

We just had our wedding last night 7.1.17 and we have loved working with everyone at SoDo Park from the beginning. Rosalyn was our venue coordinator and she was incredibly helpful and responsive, willing to answer any of our questions and help with everything we needed. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the wait staff were wonderful and our guests even commented on how nice they were, the food was delicious and we cant recommend them highly enough. We also went with their Herban Bloom and Design for flowers and décor and they did such a beautiful job. Our flowers were so fresh, color combinations perfect and so well organized!

I was recently in a wedding here. The venue was done up beautifully and the wedding party had access to an upstairs area that was private from the rest of the guests. There was some ambient train noise nearby, but not loud enough to worry about.

I visited here for a friends wedding. It is a lovely space, and to whatever extent the facility is responsible for the catering and waitstaff, the service was also very good.

Venue was cool. Not good for a group more than a hundred. Location was not very good. Tgere were prostitutes behind the building and it is not a good area.

A little cramped downstairs, and difficult to move people upstairs and down, but beautiful deck on the roof and great aesthetics
