If this place fails to fulfill or fails to temporarily allow you to forget that youre due back on Monday at a job that requires you to either push, pull, reach, twist, lift, move, load, hang, dial, drive, assemble, clean, shovel, build, lick, wrap, milk, cut, paint, lube, drain, nail, scrape, listen, secure, climb, chop, cook, roll, arrange, fry, sand, serve, bend, pick, shave, clip, ride, fly, float, write, draw, dress, pack, unload, wipe, wash, brush, comb, loose, deliver, teach, bake, freeze, scrub, toss, fluff, fry, fold, stack, smoke, pluck, text, & like. Good spot to catch the sun setting over the bay with restaurants and ice cream shops on the pier. Private unifirmed security walk the pier which is comforting as Seattle has a large number of pan handlers who can be aggressive with tourists. (If you dont give them money they will throw pennies at you and yell obscenities). Strong odor of marijuana smoke coming from across the street but not on the pier. Suggest a taxi to and from after dark. Most people ride the Ferris Wheel which appears very well maintained and safe.

This is an OK place to hangout if you want the "true" Seattle tourist experience -- most of the food and activities are all generic and touristy. If you stop by I highly recommend going to the aquarium. It is also worthwhile to consider a harbor cruise, they are short, but informative and fun!

This is a great vantage point to view the sights of the Seattle waterfront. It is often closed to the public when cruise ships are in the harbor.
