I encourage everyone to support this escape room for couple reasons. First and foremost, this is the best escape room Ive done out of a half dozen: the clues are intertwined with a fun story, its very interactive and it utilizes a variety of skill sets so everyone contributes. On top of that the owners/staff are very friendly and generous with their time and knowledge. After finishing the puzzle they took us behind the scenes to the control room and gave us a peek at the new room theyre designing. They also offered to let us watch friends solve the room from the control room, which we did recently. It was a great experience to see the game from that perspective and I cant thank Ed and company enough for their generosity. This is merely a side project for these folks and they put together an amazing time for my friends and family. Try it out! You will have a great time.

"The Secrets of Nibiru", escape room game was amazing! The props were authentic as it gets. It felt like something in an Indiana Jones movie. I wont give anything else away, but the effects made it feel so real. The puzzles and clues were well thought out, way beyond just a series of combo locks. I joined another group of three lovely ladies. I was curious about working with new acquaintances, but our group got right to work and gelled as a team. Im sure it would be a great team building mission. This was the first escape room game I have played in Portland, OR. Have tried others elsewhere, but this one will be hard to top. Im excited to play their new rooms!

Hour to Midnight recently opened with their first room The Secrets of Nibiru, and I have to say if their future rooms are the same quality or better as their first then I cant wait. The story was short but enough to get you interested and the theming of the room fit the story very well. I will say this is either the hardest or second hardest room as far as the puzzles go that I have done, and is probably tied for my favorite room so far in the Portland area. I dont think it would be a good beginner room, but it is most definitely worth doing.

Hour to Midnight is a great room escape experience! The staff are fun and friendly, the facility is clean and well maintained, and the game the Secrets of Nibiru is incredibly immersive! You can tell from the tiniest details that a lot of time and effort was put into creating a stunning scene right out of a mystery novel: the decor makes you feel like youre in the story, their background knowledge and research was done thoroughly, and the tech is top-notch astounding! Absolute must try!

Took my daughter here for her 16th birthday. Not totally what I was expecting as a beginner to escape rooms but was pleasantly surprised and it was a really fun experience! The intro before the game was helpful but not to the extent it gave anything away. In the room, there were a lot of well thought out surprises or touches along the way. I expected something cheesy or sterile but instead, this was a fun immersive experience that made us think outside the box. We all loved it!

Did the easiest room today with a group of 8 (all grwnups) for a birthday. To be honest I expected it to be cheesy when I heard about it, but it was SO GOOD. Wont spoil anything, but the little gizmos and gadgets really make it feel real. Theres enough puzzles that everybody had a chance to do something and participate. It took us about a half hour, but theres so much to do that it feels like a really busy half hour. Highly recommend this place.

Secrets of Nibiru: The immersion of this escape was impressive. In addition to the room itself, which was very well designed and furnished, there were also light and sound effects that added immersive quality and drama. Looking forward to their upcoming rooms, and I very highly recommend Hour to Midnight to any and all groups looking for a stimulating challenge. Success rate is low, so it will press you. Think you have what it takes?

Ive played about 5 escape games now and this is my favorite. The attention to detail in story and set were excellent. The lighting, sound, and of course puzzles were clever and seamless. Its exciting to hear about some new rooms coming soon and that they may all tie together story-wise. I highly recommend this experience. We had 5 people and while it was very challenging, it was well designed to accommodate a slightly smaller group.

Ive done a few escape rooms around Portland, and this one FAR outdoes the others. Production value is fantastic, and theres actually a story element to it instead of just being a hodgepodge of different puzzles. The team behind the room is super friendly and apparently working on some more rooms at the same location that tie into the same storyline! Great experience. Would def go again.

Had a really great time. The owners are really nice and create a great experience. Theyre working hard to create more rooms which will be great to see when finished. Perfect for team building exercises or just as fun activity with a group of friends or even new acquaintances. Dont forget to ask for a riddle to warm up your brain before you head in!

Amazing atmosphere, superb effects, engaging mystery! All these and much, much more make this escape room my new favorite place in town. Cant wait to see what brilliant new challenges the staff (who are just as amazing as the room itself) will cook up in the future rooms.

We did The Secrets of Nibiru today with 7 people and had a great time. The detail and care that have gone into the props is amazing, the puzzles are hard but make some sense within the context of the story, and the way things unlock over the course of the hour is amazing.

The best escape room in Portland that I have been to. The owners are great in explaining the room and amazing special effects really make the escape room special. HIGHLY recommend this room. There is only one right now, with more currently being worked on.

What a mind bender! Take your smart friend with you folks! This one is a challenge! Lots of different kinds of problem solving to be had. Even the most hard core sleuth wont be disappointed! Cant think of a better way to spend an hour with friends!

Top quality escape room! I am really impressed with the quality of the room and the puzzles at Hour to Midnight. You can tell that the owners are passionate and proud of their escape room and it shows in their work and how well they treat their guests.

Got a chance to play the room. Set design, puzzle design, and execution are fantastic. We played with three people and while it was more difficult than it would be with a full six to ten people, we were still able to solve it. So much fun!

We have done many escape rooms in Portland and beyond. This one is one of the very, very best. Creative puzzles, well crafted effects, and a very welcoming and friendly staff. We cant wait for the next room to open!

Fantastic! Ive done an escape room once before (different company), and I have to say that this one provided a much better experience. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a fun, challenging evening with friends!
