5 stars for friendliness 4 stars for ambiance 4 stars for the wine we tasted 0 stars for the wine we bought We visited in May 2014. The vineyards and winery were nice and Claude and Claudia were eager to give us a tour. As a sometime amateur home winemaker, I was eager to see this homebuilt winery. It was cool and wet that day, much like youd expect in WA and the conversation was a pleasant distraction. The tasting room was cozy and Claude expertly paired his wines with the various artisan cheeses he had on-hand. The wines were great and we gladly bought two bottles to take home and share with friends and family. We bought a 2010 Cab-Sav and a 2009 Riesling. We served the red wine at Thanksgiving, telling everyone as we poured about the quaint winery with the old Frenchman and older-seeming dog. Sadly, the wine wasnt red. It came out of the bottle a light brown color. It had more oak flavor than fruit and a sharp ethanol kick, making it taste like you were chewing a freshly varnished chair leg on which someone had spilled old wine. We decanted it, hoping to off-gas some of the foul flavors, but no use. We ended up pouring most of it down the drain. The white was less offensive, in that I could drink it without grimacing. Maybe Claude has honed his craft a bit since those bottles hit the cellar. Maybe his disdain for sulfites leads to a few more foul-tasting batches.

We went to the Winery yesterday on a whim, and to our surprise ,we had the most educational and enjoyable afternoons weve had in a while. Claude and Claudia are two of the most entertaining and down to earth people you can meet these days. All I can say about the wine is that it is clean and refreshing. Not something you buy just to drink, but something you drink to accompany a meal. We will definitely go there again.

Claude and Claudia have a lovely little vineyard and tasting room. We visited on a quiet Tuesday afternoon and Claude entertained with stories and educated us on the wine making and tasting process for nearly two hours. My wife and I are not usually big wine fans but we loved everything Claude shared with us.

Claude and Claudia were excellent and knowledgeable hosts, from the vineyard/cellar tour to the tasting room it was a wonderful experience. They specialize in dryer European wines but also have sweeter varieties. The fact that they are low sulfate wines was the icing on the cake. Very impressed.

Excellent wine and very unique. Claude walks you through each wine and how it was made. We will be back soon.

We would never give wine to a dog. It is toxic to them and shuts down their kidneys.
