Perhaps I went on a bad day... we arrived around 2pm on a Saturday. We often frequent Napa and Sonoma to pick up our wine club selections and have always noticed starmont when coming in and figured we would try it this time around.We walked in and noticed it was fairly crowded. There is a lot of seating inside of the tasting room and every seat was taken, there was plenty of room at the wine bar though. We walked up and waited patiently. There were 3 workers behind the counter and we waited around 10 minutes and was not acknowledged once. There were 2 other couples there, so I feel that there was at least some time to say we will be with you in a bit or at least a hello... but we sat there and waited. This gave us the opportunity to look around at the crowd. It was a pretty young crowd. Everyone seemed to be 21, which is fine, but it was rather loud and you could hear the random "OMG" once in awhile, similar to a bar. This environment reminded me of my college days and although it was only 6 years ago, it is something that I want nothing to do with. There was even a girl taking multiple selfies, sipping wine and posting it on snapchat. I am a former wine buyer and was disappointed that I was not able to try their wines, but the environment was very off setting. If this place wants to cater to this crowd, that is fine. This review is more aimed at those who want a relaxing environment and, frankly, want semi-decent customer service. If you just turned 21 or are new to wine, then this is the place for you.

Visited some wineries this weekend while on vacation and Starmont was hands down the best winery I went to all weekend. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, the location was convenient, the tasting room and seating area was beautiful, and the wines were fantastic. They have a really lovely fire pit area with comfortable couches and chairs and even blankets you can use if you get a bit chilly. What really made the difference in my mind was the staff. They were really accommodating and just good people all around. Some of the other places we went to, people were a bit snobbish and it felt like they could care less whether you were there or not. I highly recommend the GSM blend and their Chardonnay. Both were pretty fantastic in my opinion.

First off let me say that this was quite the experience after visiting many wineries in the Napa area and living locally .Great tasting wines this has a great feeling of comfort and welcomeness that you just dont get that other that you just dont get that other wineries I felt so comfortable ,now a member and looking forward to returning in the future......like next week

This winery, just south of Napa, opened in July. Thats why there are so few reviews. The staff was amazing, and the outdoor seating area was very pleasant (and dog friendly). Every wine we tasted was delicious and had a neat story. They also have free popcorn with gourmet salts on the side (the white truffle oil salt was yummy). Id recommend a stop here to anyone.

Nice location, friendly staff and pleasant wines. The seating outside is enjoyable. I have visited a couple of times since it is always such a nice place to visit and not far from home. Just wish they offered more affordable options for wine memberships. $1,100 a year as the cheapest option is a bit steep for a wine novice.

Absolutely excellent wine. Out of four wineries we went to in the area, this was our favorite. Spencer was incredibly helpful & knowledgeable. I wish there was an option for leaving him a tip - but this will suffice. It was a great experience overall!

Very low key and friendly place. Wines tend to the refreshing clean and crisp side. The pilot was a major surprise! Very pretty tasting room and beautiful location. Right off the Stanley Ranch Bike Path so bicycle friendly!
