I used to be a member here and I absolutely loved the place. I came here maybe 5-6 times a year and enjoyed the free wine and food pairing as part of my membership. But as with all amazing paces, they become very popular, and to deal with the larger crowds, they have to become more corporate. I used to be greeted by name as I walked in, but sadly that was no longer the case. I cant fault them for their success, but I do miss when this place seemed a lot more boutique like and small. The wine there guys produce as amazing. The zinfandels are very bold and intense and pair very well with any meat dish or BBQ and the port was something I used to have every Christmas. The best wine (in my opinion) was the Anthem Mertiage Bordeaux blend, which, year after year always amazed me with its rich berry aromas and slight chocolate finish. I havent been here in over a year (my review is very late), so I am not sure if it has become even more corporate and less intimate, but I would recommend you check it our for yourself.

I went there with a few friends and we were having fun drinking and we bought a couple bottles which they allow you to even though its about 3 p.m. they know theyre going to be closing at 5 p.m. so they need to tell people that are buying a few bottles that by 5:30 theyre going to have to be leaving the premises and then when it came down to closing time after drinking they asked us to leave so I feel that its inappropriate to ask someone to leave when they been drinking for a couple hours. So my point is if youre going to be selling three or four bottles by 3 p.m. let your customers know that the only have 2 hours before they have to leave and they actually are risking to get a DUI or getting in a wreck before they get home. All the wineries if they sell you one later they let you stay at least 2 hours after closing.

Keep in mind that these are light bites, but they are light on flavor as well. But the wines are very mild in taste so I guess that is why, but the food could have used more salt or flavor. The dishes overall were not bad, but the wine pairings were not too well thought out. It was also weird eating with people who scarfed down the meal immediately instead of savoring the tastes with each wine, but I do not hold that against the management. I think the idea that this is the best food in wine country is overrated. Sante, Girl and the Fig, Crisp, and Della Fattoria are better options if you are a foodie. The grounds are beautiful though, it was fun for the price, and we got to meet new people.

Of the 30+ wineries Ive visited, this was by far my worst tasting room experience. Tasting room staff took almost 15 minutes to notice that we were standing at the bar without glasses to taste. Those working the tasting room were clearly not willing to work as a team, opening saying they could not cover other parts of the bar so that someone else could go to lunch. None of the wines was memorable, and everything that was poured is available exclusively in the tasting room. Ive had some of their wines in distribution and much preferred it to what we finally got in the tasting room. Much better wineries with much friendlier people very close by.

5 stars for my first visit when it was extremely busy. We sat at a table with another couple and an older man did all our wine tastings while being extremely friendly and practically giving us a lesson in wine and tasting. He and the experience was wonderful but on our 2nd visit I give it 0 stars because my husband and I got tired of standing at the counter waiting and waiting for someone to acknowledge us to begin so we walked out! It was not busy in the least. I was very disappointed. The nice older gentleman was not there ;(

After spending all day in crowded tasting rooms, it was a relief to be at St. Francis. The grounds are beautiful and are a great place to grab a cheese plate and relax. Robert was so helpful in giving us details of each wine, personalized attention, and good recommendations. The pours were generous and wines were great. Our favorite was the Bacchi Zinfandel that had a minty taste (apparently influenced by eucalyptus). Would most certainly return and try the tour or just relax outside.

Wow. Fantastic service! Caters to military personnel. A must stop by and show them your military id card! Sharon was very helpful, and knowledgeable! The wild oaks chardonnay is a must try. The zinfandel bacchi is a delight! I dont like ports but the 2010 sonoma county port is splendid. a very smooth and drinkable wine. My wife drank the entire glass before I could get a taste so Sharon poured another! Love this place and well be back!

Did the food and wine pairing per recommendation of our airbnb host, and it was one of the best culinary experiences Ive had. We went as a group of 11, and everyone enjoy their food and wine. Perfectly paired. The sear on the salmon was amazing, the lamb burger and polenta fries were delicious, and the pistachio cake with fresh strawberries and cream was perfection. Would highly recommend :).

Went for a wine and food pairing with a group. I expected 5 star wines and good food and ended up with 5 star wine tastings and 6 star food. Highly recommended...bought wines to ship home and cant wait for them to arrive. 5 star wine, 5 star food, 5 star facility and 5 star staff. The team here is passionate about what they do and their product and it shows.

Truly magical setting and a casual elegance that Napa can never deliver. Service impeccable food and wine pairings perfection and best place ever to simply relax. Ran into a guy who held the door, helped carry our wine bags in and helped us with directions.. Turned out to be the CEO ! Joined the wine club to help remind us of that magical time.

Beautiful place...the views are really breathtaking. The wines they produce are also very good. The staff that we dealt with was very rude and unaccommodating. She also refused to sell us the wine we inquired about (said they had run out), and made no suggestions for a substitute wine. Very disappointing. There is friendlier staff elsewhere.

Consistently delicious wines that satisfy! For the past 20+ years that I have been enjoying SF wines, every vintage improves from the previous year. The proof is in the bottle....plus Robert Parker just awarded St Francis five 90+ ratings for the 2013 vintage (90, 92+, 93, 94 & 95)! Congratulations!

Got there when the winery opened and wanted to stay for hours. Karen is such an asset to the winery. She was helpful, friendly, guest centered, and we bought several items besides wine. Great selection of gifts. The view is wonderful. We enjoyed the wine tasting because of the hospitality.

Absolutely the best wine pairing with food in the Wine Country. Both the wines and the food was spectacular. Staff did not rush you through and answered all questions during the pairing. The chef was available to answer the many questions because of the excellent dishes that were served.

Really good wine and service here. They also had cheese when I visited to try and that was really good too. Theresa was out server and she was great. The image was super busy but she made sure we were taken care of. Very happy with this winery and we will be back.
