My family and I are new to the area and searching for some new places to eat our Friday night dinners. We stumbled across some great reviews for South Pacific Cafe on Yelp, and decided to give it a shot. The place is a small, eccentrically-styled beach bar with a fair amount of seating. We didnt have a wait, but the people after us might have. They cleaned off a table and we were sat down within a minute. Our wait staff was superb. She was friendly, funny, and very honest about her favorite options. After dinner, the owner of the place came and introduced himself to us and he was the exact same way. He must have a type of employee he likes! Food-wise....I dont think you can go wrong here. We ordered an appetizer (nachos) that were good and plenty for a family of 4. All of our entrees were delicious. Oh, and really big. The burgers and sandwiches and absolutely shareable. You can tell that they take their stuff seriously by their ingredients. Everything was top-notch! When our food came, my moms dish was a few minutes later than the rest of the family. It was no big deal, but the chef came out and apologized and explained that her food was later because he personally washed and separated the food prep utensils due to my moms shellfish allergy. We were blown away!!! I realize that they serve a lot of shrimp and prawns there, but wow, he washed his entire area just for my moms meal!? Thats unbelievable service!!!! This alone is worth a second visit. Overall, Im betting that this is one of Battle Grounds most unique and fun eateries/bars/whatevers. The service is above and beyond anything that Ive seen for a long while, and the food doesnt let you down. Plus, the amount of choices and variation of the menu will have you coming back again and again. Kudos, guys! Job well-done!

This place is amazing! My wife and I visited for lunch and had the most wonderful experience. They have a Blackened Salmon BLT that is to die for. The pulled pork sliders are also delicious. Not dripping in messy sauces, but so full of flavor. Their coleslaw is a different spin on a mayo-based slaw with a kick and is super good. We also tried their Jäger steak strip appetizer and I wished I could have had it in a meal-sized portion... just incredibly delicious and full of flavor. To top everything off, the owner was waiting tables when we went in and was just the most friendly, funny person who really set a great tone right from the start. We will absolutely be going back and now I want to try the dinner menu. Why havent I tried this place before?

Seafood is frozen, the scallops were the size of peas. Everything was so-so. Service was good but the drinks were very weak for $15 dollars. Steak was a low quality meat, and everything tasted like salt and pepper. Nothing special here. Nothing "South Pacific" about this place other then the fun decor of the restaurant. Everything on the menu is American continental fusion. If you charge those kind of prices for steak and shellfish, it for darn sure better be marinated and it better be fire grilled, not pan sautéed. Wont be returning here.

Holy Smokes! Who would have thunk! This place ROCKS! We have been contemplating for a year now. Changed hands too many times. We want South Pacific Cafe to STAY! We were blown away by the quality of the food! Ribs, Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Wedge Salad, Steamer Clams and Killer Fish Tacos! Cant wait to go back! Great Service! Amazing Food! Such an Enigma. The food is great , every time. Service can be pretty spotty in the dining room, especially when they get close to full. The bar service is usually pretty good. Id give it 5 stars if they could sort out the service problems. I have been here several times, not just a one time observation. I witnessed three other tables that needed some help from the manager tonight besides my own complaints.

This is my favorite place, But its even better,they serve brunch now! The ultimate bloody Mary and the Pacific breeze are yummy! Everyone should come try the amazing food and the people are truly wonderful! Its awesome to see owners being a part of the customers wonderful experience at South Pacific Cafe! Thank you! A Beach Bar in Battleground? Yes this place has it all! From the beachy themed cocktails to the amazing fresh seafood, homemade pizzas, & burgers, it has a very wide variety of food cuisines for anyones appetite. It will satisfy the masses! Aside from the Tiki style Art Deco & tasty food choices its just missing that good ole rum drinking pirate.

We were in the area for a #geocaching event and my partner had to make a pit stop. We decided to make it a lunch stop and were right here so we sat on the patio with our dog. Wait staff were nice , brought treats and water for RogerTheTherapyDog. Had an excellent meal, tried a new beer. Will definitely come back!

Its a little expensive but really good. I dont know if it was just me so Im hesitant to write this but I got food to go, got super sick a few hours later, so sick my wife called 911. Paramedics and fire came and said it was likely sever food poisoning... I was admitted into the hospital for 3 days.

I really like there food, and drinks. The service is usually good as well. Although every time I am served by Kira, it makes me want to never go back. If I didnt like the food so much, I wouldnt. All because of one employee. All the other bad reviews about service, are probably from her.

The most friendly and upbeat restaurant Ive ever been to while at the same time very relaxing. Their service is quick and friendly. Their pizza is amazing but what has me craving to go back all the time is their most delicious cod fish tacos with a side of mouth watering garlic fries.

Too many entrees with pork/bacon or ham. I dont mind seeing it offered as a add-on. But seriously, its a little much when you like a place but they offer 9 out 10 entrees with what encourages the high blood pressure placed inside each dish.

I love this place... Its a warm and inviting atmosphere with cozy seating.. great for date night with easily shareable dishes. The staff is warm and inviting and really makes it a relaxing experience... Will return for sure

Used to have a wide variety of gluten free options. When we asked about that the waitress was completely rude to the point we walked out. My wife is psilliac so gf very important to us. S. Pac lost 2 customers.
