Artistic/Metro/Literary Atmosphere...Ingenious Bar Keepers & Management..."The secret is out. If you want a one-of-a-kind cocktail creation, you’re heading to 1022 South J". Where they serve awesome Seasonally Infused Cocktails, Specialty and Top Shelf Selections, Yummy Unique Snacks...The music can be a variety of Eclectic Tunes of Various Styles, and of Various Decades, as it can be dependent on the time, the day, the majority of customers and, or, the Bar Keep! Clientele are various age groups & professions...Also, a great Late Night Spot... Oh, and ask about their Extended Happy Hour Times!? Easy to miss location...next to Good Fellas Barber Shop on the corner of "J" and 11th...on the fringe area of down-town, up the hill from the University of WA area...You may wish to avoid any really distant parking....but, DONT LET THIS STOP YOU FROM VISITING!

Food and drinks made with passion - and it shows. Whenever friends question a place to visit to kick back and catch up, this is at the top of the list. 1022 offers an amazing selection of custom drink concoctions for any palette. Their food selection is limited, but exquisitely crafted and presented. Highly recommend if youre in town visiting, or a local that has yet to discover this gem. Dont let the surrounding area fool you.

Really cool little watering hole in tacoma. Its a bit away from the hustle bustle, but was still busy, which is awesome. Great drink selection and small but creative food menu. My hubby and I split their version of a blt sandwich and it was delicious! My favorite part was that they brought it out to us on two seperate plates, with the sandwich and sides split for us. No extra "sharing fee".

I dont want to tell people how amazing this place is because it should be the most crowded place in town. The cocktails are unreasonably good, food is delicious. Ambiance is small, romantic and tastefully done. When I want to transport myself Brooklyn, or just simply enjoy the best cocktails in town, this is my spot.

Its really too bad that the service at 1022 South is as awful as it is because the drinks are amazing. I have been in three times and each time it took over 15 minutes to get a drink. Last time we were there the bartender was using A FLASHLIGHT to see into the refrigerator because it was so dark in the bar.

The drinks are great! Best drinks Ive ever had, which says A LOT! They painstakingly make these drinks from scratch and they are perfect every-time! When it was slower the service was great, when its REALLY busy they are overwhelmed, not much you can do about that...

This place is trendy and fancy. The drinks are awesome and the food is great. It can seem a bit spendy but you are going to get what you pay for. Your drinks will take a while to get to you, these are hand crafted masterpieces.
