My wife and I went here for a date night. Really need spot for Live Music in Richmond. Nice clean cozy spot for bout 150+ is my guess... but roomy enough you dont feel like youre on top of each other. The acoustics and sound system was amazing You could tell they invested a lot into it. Made the band we came to see sound like they were recording in studio with head phones. While we were there to listen to the music, the food was phenomenal. We started off with the Whiskey Shrimp and the sauce was amazing, and shrimp cooked just right. Not over done and rubbery. though skeptical, I had the recommended fish with gravy...YES gravy. Guess it is a southern thing. Had a taste of my wifes Lobster mac which was to die for... then again, 3 gooey cheeses with lobster, how could you go wrong?! While I tend to be a beer guy, the craft cocktails was incredible. One of the owners wrote a book on it, and it seem to trickle down to the other bar tenders as our drinks were something special... not something you get from a chain. A little tough to find in this shopping center near regency behind the Arbys. Its nice to find a place like this in the suburbs of Virginia vs trekking downtown with limited parking. The owners are great and visited our table to see how our evening went. Quite a little gem. Definitely a must visit if you want a great evening out and listening to great music. Hard to find a place like this in Virginia

Just saw Marshall Crenshaw at the Tin Pan. We enjoyed the show, although the seats/table we were assigned for dinner preceding the show only allowed for viewing of his head during the show. Its good to have a venue of this size for more intimate music in the Richmond area. Easy to find for those of us coming in from out of town. The food selection was limited, especially if you are vegetarian or pescetarian. The buffalo chicken sandwich was disappointing, to say the least. Service left much to be desired, and we were told there werent enough water pitchers to have one at our table, though most of the nearby ones did have one - and we had a hard time getting our water glasses refilled.

Tin Pan is a small venue (guessing 150-200) located in a suburban strip mall. But it’s not your typical bar that books occasional music acts, they’re all about the music and the audience experience. First, they do a good job of booking unknown and up and coming artists, while sprinkling in some decent national musicians. Secondly, you can’t beat the intimacy. They’ve done an outstanding job with the layout - there’s not a bad seat in the house. They surround the stage with dining tables, then have bar height tables beyond that and against the wall. On top of that the food is good and the service is always excellent. Every time we go, we talk about coming back.

Ive been to this awesome venue 8 or 9 times now, and its been a real winner every time. Great decor and ambiance, and the food is consistently top notch. Owners are present and engaging, staff friendly. Zoned as a restaurant, not a dance-hall, but by golly sometimes you just cant help but dance in the aisles! There is ample space. Music every night of the week, both local and national acts. I enjoyed a jazz brunch there as well, buffet vs menu ordering but definitely not like cafeteria food - everything was fresh and tasty! Not your average "restaurant." So glad Richmond has a place like this!

This Place......do not pass GO! There is a wealth of wonderful Music landing here and the food is outstanding. Look to the schedule running out tip next march I think? I have many on my list that are DO NOT MISS! Thanks for being there....still wonder how the whole - who gets what table thing is....got there early for a show and was some of the first folks in - reservation for 4 - was seated along the back wall with all empty tables in the whole room. No matter - there is no bad seat or table in this place - I was just happy to be there ;-) Ill figure this place out yet ;-)

just learned of Tin Pan when I went to see Crystal Bowersox last week and was pleasantly surprised! Love the upfront ticket prices with no additional fees and the ease of buying tickets by phone. The venues sound was great, seating was well laid out with no bad seats. This venue is accessible for handicapped patrons, one level with tables that can accommodate wheelchairs ... something that is rarer than most think! Staff was friendly, helpful and provided great service while not interfering with show. I will definitely recommend Tin Pan to others and will be returning.

This is just what the Richmond area needed!! Im always in search of great live music, but this place delivers so much more than that. The Tin Pan is both a fantastic restaurant as well as a music venue with acts most days of the week, which is hard to come by. When you walk in, you can grab a spot at their beautiful, classy bar or reserve your own table. Order one of their creative, seasonal craft cocktails along with some savory eats and settle in for an evening of music. Its truly a unique dining experience!

Friends and I went to hear ROOM FULL OF BLUES at Tin Pan last week. The whole experience was wonderful. Of course RFOB couldnt be beat but the quality of the food was "ne plus ultra" as the French might say. A good selection of good beer and hot quickly served appetizers and main dishes were far better than the usual for a performance venue. Go, if you get the chance. Oh, and also, the folks who work there could not of been nicer.

Live music in Richmond? The Tin Pan stands out. Great entertainers play here because it offers an awesome venue, and everyone in attendance brags about how the best craft cocktails in Richmond are the ones theyre drinking at The Tin Pan. Add the feel of a classy restaurant that serves decorated plates and thats what this place is about. Theyre in the early stages of becoming a Richmond tradition for a relaxed night out.

Great Place for Music, Food and Unique Cocktails! I have been to the Tin Pan several times and each time the food was perfect, the service was great and the music was outstanding. This is a great place to go with friends or have a date night. The Baja Chicken and Pot Pie are my favorites. All their desserts are homemade and the Carrot Cake is Amazing!!!! On Sundays they have a brunch buffet with music.

The Tin Pan is one of those little-known jewels in Richmond. Located in a nondescript shopping center near Regency Square, the Tin Pan attracts great local and national talent. Ive been there for a few private events too, and its a perfect setting. Kevin, Lisa and their staff go to great lengths to make sure your event is a big success. Dont forget to try one of Kevins craft cocktails!

Food is different from any place you can find in the area and it tastes very good. They have open Mic night everyother Monday where local musicians can exhibit their talent like one young man who can absolutely tear it up on a banjo.
