Absolute nightmare...Ive out pocketed $500.00 for a deposit ($250.00 for ceremony & $250.00 for reception) and have lost it all. We are now not having a ceremony/reception at all due to the fact that Colt made me feel that "anything was possible" in regards to menu options after I specifically asked about how much pricing was per person. He sells you on this "Oh anything you want, we pride ourselves on offering each wedding something different and we do not use the same menu for each one " What he didnt tell me was that they do have a bottom line and everything and anything IS NOT possible even after I specifically asked several times. When I asked to change things and said it was too much I was written a nasty email stating that I had changed the amount per person I wanted to be at and that it was my fault. Im sorry I DONT KNOW HOW THIS IS SUPPOSE TO WORK! Your not helping to pay for it so.... Colt is impossible to deal with and refuses take the time to clarify anything into to detail. Heaven forbid you be new to this process or not know the lingo. I was totally taken advantage of by this venue. If you have lots of money and you will be paying for every aspect then Colt will be your best friend, if you are doing anything remotely DIY or within a budget forget it-you will notice a tone difference after youve paid your deposit. Colt took a week sometimes up to two weeks to answer my email and then when I addressed the length of time I was rudely told it takes that long to get his answers for me together-thats fine then cant you just simply send an email stating that?? "Hey Mandy Ill check in to that for you and get back with you as soon as I know" Is that too much to ask???!!! Oh and I was told there was plenty of time so he would get to it when he could-yes my life revolves around my venue-umm dont think so. So when I cancelled the reception and instructed Colt that I would be just holding our ceremony at their location I was told I would have to pay another $150.00. Keep in mind NOTHING is provided except chairs! So $250.00 deposit and another $150.00 for what?!?? After weighing things we unfortunately were over extended and regretfully had to cancel our event-Ive now lost $500.00 I worked 2 jobs for 8 months being away from my family 6 days a week for nothing-I wrote an email to the CFO and Colt explaining how sad and upset I was and that I had worked so hard...Ive never heard back and I know I will NEVER see my money. They robbed me. STAY FAR AWAY!! Just because this business was advertised on TLC doesnt make it a reputable place of business!!! When I was looking at other venues for options I was told by more than 5 other places that my complaints were typical of what they heard about Historic Jordan Springs.

I always knew I wanted to get married outside in the fall. I also knew that weather in unpredictable and if I didnt have a Plan B, it would pour on my wedding day. Jordan Springs offered both a Plan B (on the beautiful front porch) and Plan C (downstairs). I was lucky and the weather was perfect, so my first choice happened, but I would have been happy either way. Besides being beautiful, I also liked that the ceremony and the reception were in the same place--this saved the hassle of having to give guests directions or provide transportation. My favorite thing about Jordan Springs was that it made wedding planning 10X easier. They have everything you need, but you dont have to use their services, except for food (which while I thought was pricey, everybody really loved). We used thier DJ, officiant, and spa (which is seperate from them, but still awesome). The DJ was awesome, especially since we were a difficult and age diverse crowd. The officiant was also good. We brought in our own photographer, florist, and musician and it all worked seamlessly. I gave Colt the money and tips for all of these vendors and they all received them in a timely manner. Service was great. Overall, Colt was good at getting back to e-mails and even calmed my nerves when Hurricane Joaquin threatened to ruin my Plan A. Colt also knows his stuff and obviously has weddings down to a science--everything went smoothly. The staff themselves were great, which several guests commented on. They were efficient, while not being in the way. My dad was very pleased with the wedding, even telling Colt before he left that if he had another daughter, he would recommond Jordan Springs to her. Thank you!

My husband and I could not be more pleased with our wedding at Historic Jordan Springs and the Executive Director, Colt! We live just over an hour from Winchester so it was very important to us that the place we selected was able to provide multiple services as well as a wedding coordinator to facilitate everything. Because my sister was married there two years ago, we already carried a positive bias towards HJS. Her wedding was such an amazing experience that choosing this place was an easy decision. The grounds were a beautiful setting for an outdoor ceremony and the historic building provided a lovely space for cocktail hour and reception. Colt was a delight to work with. He met with us only a few times in person (due to our commute) and most of our communication was via email. His responses to our questions were prompt and informative and his attention to detail was impeccable. He also offered numerous tips and advice for different aspects of our wedding. Thanks to Colt and his wonderful staff, the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch! We were pleased with the in-house services we utilized as well: DJ service, videography service, lighting, and a delicious cake from their Pastry Chef. During and after the event we received numerous compliments on the venue, for Colt, and for the entire staff. We would recommend Historic Jordan Springs to anyone!

We were married at historic jordan springs on 10/16/16. We had gotten the all inclusive package. Initially i was not thriller with prices but as time went on in realized how economical this place was. Our package included food, cake, basic table decorations, use of the venue for 2 events, dj, lighting, and the day of coordination. We added additional items bc i had a themed wedding. Colt, the coordinator was amazing and knowledgeable. The rehearsal went well and everyone loved the food. The wedding day was perfect (i was a hot nervous mess). The food was perfect, the decorations were perfect. Everything went off without a hitch. We loved it. Colt was patient, kind and professional. Everyone commented on how amazing the venue, dj, food and cake were. It was the best wedding people had been to. Thank you all from the bottom of out hearts!

See what a recent client has to say about their experience: My husband and I made one of the most important decisions in our life; we decided to have our wedding at Historic Jordan Springs. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made! The staff treated us as if we were family and our wedding was just as important as if I was their own daughter. Colt went beyond what was expected as a wedding director I continue to call him my wedding angel. Colt made sure we stayed in our budget while making sure it was exactly how I envisioned it. Tonie(the owner) even came into the salon at least a dozen times that day to make sure everything was going as planned. Almost a year and half after our wedding we still have guests tell us how beautiful and organized our wedding was. I recommend Historic Jordan Springs for any event!
