Checked in at 1445 for an overnight stay. The room was very well appointed yet the view was less than sub par. We booked on the 2nd floor and our view was of a rooftop with dilapidated air conditioners and sewer pipes on one side, and a generator and noisy loading dock on the other. this is a decent budget stay but the noise level was exactly the same as being in the lobby all night. Our great big solid (heavy) wooden door let more noise in than an amplifier. We were up most of the night because everyone who talked and walked outside could be heard plainly Im our room. I am amazed that such a seemingly beautiful quality hotel could be so cheap. Even the elevator chimes can be heard in the rooms. This place obviously was hastily and cheaply constructed. Definitely not a place for you and yours if your looking for a good nights sleep. You Will Be Disappointed. Probably wont be returning. P.S. housekeeping only seems to come if you ask for them first.

Fabulous hotel and amenities are great. Great location especially if you want to golf. Houlihans is on site, which is convenient but the food is mediocre. But staff are almost hostile. They treated us fairly. Pool was freezing on a really hot day and same with the hot tub. The hotel address should be hostility drive as the staff were less than courteous. There was no guest comment card in the room and I think that might have been deliberate. I am shocked that the hotel got #1 ranking in customer service. We have stayed at other hotels and the staff are willing to please and are truly helpful. Here it was as if they were losing money to say hello or answer our questions. They were busy chatting amongst themselves. As for Houlihans, we ate there three times and all three times they messed up our order. It is a fabulous hotel and it is a pity we will not be going back due to our bad experience with the staff and restaurant.

I travelled to Front Royal because I received a spa weekend from my family to Tres Bella spa. The spa was amazing and is a converted old house and all the specialists were great. I stayed at the Holiday Inn because it was the most recognizable hotel name in the area. The hotel is new and has a new Holiday Inn logo and look. I upgraded to a suite to truly pamper myself and couldnt have been more impressed. Everything was top notch, two flat screen tvs in the room, beautiful view, plenty of space for doing my morning stretches and the bath products were all great with herbal scents etc. I used the fitness center for the tredmill and ellipticall and also swam a few laps in the inside pool. This is a very recommendable hotel and i will most likely bring my parents here to return the spa package favor.

Hate I have to check out of the Hotel this morning. Even though Ive been by myself, Ive had such a relaxing time. The bed and comforter have been the most comfortable Ive slept in in a long time. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub very much also. Was tempted to get up at 7AM and go down there one last time before I had to get ready to leave but the bed was so cozy. Im just a working stiff that had the unusual pleasure of having the company pay for this stay. If it had been me I wouldnt have paid for such a nice place. In fact, I would have paid probably $40 less a night and gotten a free breakfast on top of it. That was why they only got 4 instead of 5 stars from me. But hey, maybe you have more money than what you know what to do with. Good for you. I hope to be there one day.

I stay here every few months or so for training with the military. Customer service is hit or miss, and there are new people behind the desk pretty often. I travel alot in general, and dont usually care much about customer service as long as I have a clean room. But tonight I had what may have been a new manager NOT EVEN LOOK UP FROM TEXTING to acknowledge me at the counter or even turn in my direction while mumbling something. I just walked away when I realized that I was being blown off. Ive never seen anything like it. Id check out now if it wasnt super inconvenient. I guess Im looking for another place to stay one weekend a month.

Very good rooms. A bit far away from the city. Be sure to check with them if Breakfast is included as had a misunderstanding where when I used AAA discount the breakfast option was removed. I later talked to front desk and they took care of it. Great staff at front desk. No breakfast buffet. You get to custom order breakfast and you can get two breakfast coupons if choose room with included breakfast. Almost forgot to mention kids eat free at Breakfast. Overall very happy with the place and the wonderful staff.

Very comfortable hotel. I have staued at this hotel abour 4, maybe 5 times. I always get the suites because the room rates are great. Despite other guest comments I have always had a quiet comfortable stay. The staff has always been very friendly and helpfull. I have had a couple of problems with the room maintenance, yet when I call to report the problem it is fixed very quickly. The Houlihans restaurant staff has always been very friendly. I will always stay here when working in the area.

My husband and I have stayed at this Holiday in a couple of times over the last 3 years for work. It is super clean and quiet. Very friendly staff. Average pool area, nothing fancy, but refreshing. The view is lovely. Holihans has great dinner food and average breakfast foods. The wait staff is friendly and efficient delivering food and drinks. Its a very good deal for a hotel in this price range.

On our way from NY to NC, we decided to travel the extra 15 minutes out of the way to stay at this hotel because it looked so much nicer than the others in Winchester, VA that weve stayed at before. Its right on a golf course in a nice quiet town. Its pet friendly which is nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

A friend and I are staying here for a convention in Front Royal. The room is large, the bed is comfy and everything is clean. The woman at the front desk, Sally was a genuinely pleasant person to speak with. She is helpful, polite and obviously enjoys working with people. After a long road trip it feels nice to see a warm smile.

Our suite was spacious and clean. Nice lobby, and its helpful that they have an attached restaurant (Houlihans). We were in the area visiting wineries, and the hotel was in a good location for this. Room price was good, but we wished they had included a breakfast!

it was all great apart fron reception staff, one of the ladies on reception (not the one who checked me in) was constantly making comments to the other interupting her serving me, maybe i am being paranoid but felt i was the subject of a joke or something

There is no breakfast here. There is a restaurant attached where you can choose from and overpriced limited menu for breakfast. The food wasnt very good either. The room was oddly designed and the bathroom was difficult to navigate.
