Please if youre a female dont go to this establishment. They will search your bags in order to enter, and claim it as a search for weapons. While allowing men with thick jackets, pants pockets...etc. to go unsearched. I sat and watched them enter without a second glance. This is obviously a lie. Unless the person who enacted this policy is really a complete imbecile. Men are responsible for 90 percent of all murders and 98 percent of all mass shootings. 70 percent of mass killings are done by firearms — but not usually the ones committed by women. Less than three percent of killers in public mass shootings over the last three decades have been women. But yet they are targeting specifically women with purses? Yet not having men turn out their pockets or search their jackets. So either 1) They are targetting women for sneaking in food...etc. or 2) They really are searching for weapons but are extremely uneducated...and should maybe read a book. Either way, after informing them i have cloth menstrual pads and really dont want to be opening my bag for the crowded movie goers to see, they would still not let me and my 3 year old to see. As we stood there with our movie theater bought drinks and pretzel. They told me i could go put my bag in my car. Obviously... thats not an option but I was talking to men so maybe that didnt register in their heads. They were nice enough to give us a refund but my daughter is crushed and at this point I will never return here. Targeting women, specifically, is not ok and using false logic to cover it up is also not ok. I hope one day they will change their policy, or hopefully someone will sue so this invasion of privacy will never happen again.

My husband and I love this place. We even decided to spend our first year anniversary here dining in the bar area at one of their plush booths. First off, our server George was AMAZING. He was very personable and knowledgeable. The food was FANTASTIC. I had the Mega Tuna roll and it melted in my mouth. I have to say I wasnt expecting the food at a bowling alley to be great, but it was better than some very pricey restaurants Ive been to. It comes very quickly, too. Bowling here is fun, but I dont like how fast the games time out. Its a very clean and up-kept place. We saw a movie here for the first time that was NOT up in the luxury lounge and it was still a really awesome experience. The decor and overall feel of the place makes you feel like youve gone from a middle class movie night to a high class night on the town. The luxury lounge upstairs especially. As for the review below about Muvico not getting some new movies in, that is not their fault. Regal cinemas across the way has made that happen because of the location they are in.. they have restricted them to limit competition. Its sad because I feel that the consumer should be allowed to decide, but clearly Regal knows if they all had the same movies, Muvico is a far superior run business and Regal would tank. Anyways, This place is fantastic. Bowling is super cheap, too! Date night for under 5$!

*Go to Regal instead* While I am all for a bag search policy for SAFETY, it is really unnecessary and awkward to police an insanely strict food policy. If you have anything resembling food - your entrance is forbidden! I had a small snack in my tiny purse that was then suddenly a block to me even entering the theater. I was given the choice to throw it out or "check" it at guest services!? The probing through my purse solely to enforce snack patrol is insane. Additionally, they have not trained their staff to appropriately address the ridiculous policy or handle discontent! I was thoroughly ignored when going to "check" in my snack and then after when I left before the movie even started to take my concession money to Regal. I asked to leave a written notice and was never even given the courtesy of being spoken to - they seriously just stared at me when I again asked for something to write my complaint for the manager. The staff then handed me a ticket stub to write the note. A ticket stub! Instead of asking what they could do, or apologizing for the experience, he handed me a ticket stub and didnt speak. Truly inept with customer service. I will definitely not return to Paragon.

CLEAN theatres (no sticky floor or dirty seats), CLEAN restrooms, AWESOME popcorn and ALWAYS courteous staff! We prefer this theatre over any other local theatre (especially Regal-their popcorn is nasty and more expensive!). The recliners in the theatre REALLY lean back and allow you to relax, especially if you are lucky enough to snag a "bar" seat where you can put your feet on the front railing (theres no one in front of you on the floor so you dont have to feel rude). We just wish the ticket prices were a little less steep. Summer bonus: $6 movies on Tuesdays: ALL CURRENTLY PLAYING MOVIES (not older ones like in Regals $1 Summer Movie Express). You will be charged extra for 3D and IMAX but the base is still $6 instead of $8-10. WE LOVE OUR PARAGON THEATRE... please build one in Stafford!!! P.S. In response to reviewers who are upset about certain movies NOT being played at Paragon but available across the street at Regal, its not Paragons fault. In order for the theatre to be built, they had to make an agreement with Regal NOT to show the same movies. So one blockbuster (like Ant-Man) will be playing at Paragon and Terminator Genisys will be showing at Regal. :-)

Ok...not looking to get into a pi_ _ing contest with the last reviewer...however i couldnt disagree more with her assessment of this movie complex. Yes you will run into your typical clueless teenager/employee getting paid $5 an hour to sweep the floors, but everything else is first rate. In fact, people in FBG need to feel spoiled and privileged in having such an awesome theater in town. This is easily the nicest theater complex in the state of Virginia - movies, bowling, pool tables, bars - this place has it all. The food is better than most theaters (and a heck of a lot better than Cinbistro in Richmond... been there done that - yuk!). The prior reviewer didnt see any alcohol because she didnt realize that downstairs in the main complex its non-alcoholic... UPSTAIRS is the under-21 area with a full bar, large screen tvs, pool tables, great food, AND cushioned leather seats easily big enough to make out with your date ;-0 In fact the seats are so large you could fit 2 people one of them comfortably. Easily 5 stars even with the occasional clueless employee.

As my wife and I sit here; we have already watched three would be customers get up and walk out due to the children tending the bar ignoring them. We asked for Trashcans; and we were served with something horribly nasty. When I questioned the server; I asked her if they put sours in the drink; as this was all my wife and I could taste. She replied: thats how we make ours. The bartender didnt even know without looking at Google how to make it; and still made it wrong. The wait staff is horribly loud and disrespectful; showing signs of maturity equal to that of 6 year olds. With both of us being veterans; we do not appreciate being met with attitude when we state something is not to our liking. We also sent the Voodoo shrimp back just now; being undercooked and having more lettuce than shrimp. After sending the shrimp and drinks back; we still have yet to see any mention of a manager or even a true adult. I cannot leave a review without leaving a star; unfortunately these children deserve some free lessons in respect and actually working for a dollar.
