If you have never been there before, it is a bit different from todays cineplex experience. The first time we went without buying tickets on line I was dismayed. Its lobby appears worn and tired and the ticket booth is abandoned. You purchase tickets at the concession counter with long lines. It looked to me like a second run house. But there is a big upside. After buying tickets on line ( at the lowest price Ive seen for first run movies.) and showing up early ( and dealing with a pounding of commercials now on every screen). I found the auditorium was clean, no theater smell, roomy - seats we upgraded to lounge chairs, and the projection was clean and bright, sound crisp and tuned. This was a very, very good movie experience that started in a so so lobby. I ended up liking the place.

I had a weird experience the last time I went here, but regardless, I still give it a 4. Its not one of the main cinemas that you know, a lowes, AMC or Regal, it is independent of all of those. So I knew things might be different; however, I bought my tickets online to see Rogue 1 and when we walked into the theater, we walked right into the designated theater. No one checked our tickets, it was the weirdest thing. However.... tickets were cheap, we did see a movie in a theater with comfy seats, so overall I was happy.

The bad: The screens are not incredibly large, and the seating is pretty flat, so you end up looking up at the screen more than straight ahead. Additionally, large seats mean showings fill up a bit faster, so you need to get there early for popular showtimes. The good: The seats are incredibly comfortable reclining chairs with cup holders—some of the best movie theater seats I have encountered. Ticket prices are also very reasonable, compared to bigger-name theaters like Regal and AMC.

Ive been to this movie theater a few times. Its a typical theater, basic popcorn. Everything you would expect. The few times Ive gone to this theater its never been too busy, so even though we arrive right on time for the movie we can surprisingly find good seats. One thing that does set this theater apart is they recently gained new, comfortable seating. Its close to the reclined seating you would see at an AMC. Which is really nice.

I see a ton of movies in theaters and Pittsford Plaza is one of my favorite theaters in Rochester. Cant beat the price, the staff is friendly, and I like that they show a collection of blockbusters and smaller, independent movies. New reclining seats are comfy, as are their other traditionally seated theaters. Its not the prettiest establishment, but its kept clean and Ive never had a bad experience here.

Independent theater with lower than average ticket prices, affordable concessions, and those comfy comfy couches you never knew you wanted and now cant enjoy a movie without. (okay maybe you can, but still couches are raising the bar!) Buy ahead for popular shows× because there arent a lot of seats in each theater. (Also show up early because the front seats are a *little* too close.)

Affordable ticket prices ... making taking the whole family to the movies a joy. One of the only theaters that still has real butter on the popcorn... Yum! Goodies are less than half the price of the other large theaters. Get to your movie early, if you bought online tickets, as the tickets are general admission (if you have a group/family to sit together).

Has a student discount and standard movie selection. My friend went to get his drink refilled and couldnt find any staff anywhere in the theatre! Found out that the cinema was locked up when we walked outside and my friend tried to go back to get the bag he put down. The showing started at 9:20 I didnt expect the staff to leave before the movie ended.

My husband and I enjoy going to this theater because it is less expensive and cozier than larger theaters. The popcorn is just as good as chain theaters and the service is more personable. It is never as crowded as the larger theaters and the seats are comfortable, though they dont recline. Its a nice, quiet place to go see a movie with a homier feel.

Always been my favorite theater in the area. Now has recliner seats that put AMC and Regal to shame. They left the slope to the theater floor which actually make it more comfy and increase visibility of the chair in front of you isnt being used. They did a great job and I am in love with it. Always Sony 4K and awesome digital screens and projection.

My favorite movie theater. I have come on several occasions. Saw Deadpool yesterday and it was about 7 bucks for a matinée so the prices are reasonable compared to other theaters! They recently got super comfortable seating too so you can kick your feet up and enjoy the movie as you would at home.

Hit or miss here. The concessions are great and the popcorn with real butter is unmatched. Some theaters are spacious and full of reclining chairs. Others are incredibly cramped, hot, and the only chairs with recliners are the front few rows directly under the screen

Just when you think youre in a old independent theater that hasnt upgraded its amenities, youll find the newly installed leather recliners. I still prefer Tinseltown and some of the other larger theaters in the area, but the Pittsford Cinema more than holds its own.

Went to go see La La Land and they said that it was sold out. Maybe you should provide that information on your website so that people who drive over an hour to see it because it doesnt play near them would know a head of time!!!

Love this local place much better than the monstrous regal cinemas. Had reclining leather chairs and tremendous surround sound. Only draw back is the parking at Pittsford plaza can be challenging especially in the evening.

Comfy reclining seats, and cheap tickets on morning showings. Make sure to show up early, because with the reduced capacity with the larger sized chairs, they fill up the theater.

Wednesdays is $1 popcorn, they have the new recliner seats. My only complaint is that they dont always have all the movies, which is understandable because its a smaller theater.

Seats are almost too comfortable! I was a little confused where to get my tickets when I walked in but it all worked out just fine. You get your tickets at the concession stand.

Amazing price for movies! $5 to see a new release, with a great screen and reclining automatic lounge chairs! Id be willing to drive there from Syracuse just to see a movie!
