ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!! We held our daughters wedding ceremony and reception at Rosemont. The grounds are breathtaking, the Manor House is jaw-droppingly gorgeous, and the carriage house is ideal for a reception!! It was all my daughter and her husband had hoped for and more!! We cannot say enough about how wonderful every one at Historic Rosemont is. Everyone we had contact with was very kind and professional. The owner Mr. "Biff" Genda met with us and made us feel like family. He gave us the history behind the manor and a tour of the Manor House (stunning), the grounds the buildings on the grounds for our use if we chose to use them and the carriage house which is where the reception was to be held. We were given the different types of wedding days and a price list for each. After choosing a date we met with Julia Libby, one of the wedding planners at Rosemont Manor. Julia is AMAZING!!!!!! She made the wedding day run incredibly smooth!! Julia was always available for questions and to run ideas by. She even made the impossible happen!!!!! Hiding a horse-drawn carriage from everyone including the guests, the groom AND the bride, until the last possible moment is no small feat, yet Julia made it happen!!!!! Thanks is not enough for all her hard work helping to make our daughter and now husbands wedding the wedding of their dreams!!! The Caterer used exclusively at Rosemont is Celebrations Catering. A few times they were not the easiest to get hold of, but in the end, the food was delicious and the serving staff very professional. Celebrations did not disappoint in the quality and execution of the food!! Some of our guests spent the night in the Manor and joined us for breakfast the next morning while the Bride and Groom had Breakfast in their private cottage. The breakfast was also quite delicious, made by the private chef staff. Historic Rosemont Manor is the PERFECT place to have a wedding. It is worth every penny!!!

On Sunday,July 7, 2013, I had the pleasure of attending a tea held at Rosemont Manor with friends. It was a wonderful experience. The owner, Mr Genda welcomed us and gave us a tour of the historic house and grounds. He explained the history of the house and showed us many of the trees and flowers on the property. He was so kind and made us feel so welcomed. The tea was grand! The teas, the food, the ambience were presented in such a lovely way. Tona, the Rosemont chef, did a wonderful job of explaining the the different finger sandwiches, scones and ice cream that were served to us, as well as telling us how she made them! They were delicious. Jonathan, the owners son, came around to each table and showed us the artifacts that had been found on the property many from the civil war. His presentaion was top notch. Playing the grand piano in the living room was Ben ( another son of Mr. Genda) the music was just the extra touch to make the experience special. After the tea we were able to tour the guest rooms that were not occupied. What a treat! Beautiful, simply beautiful.Mr. Genda even showed us a two way mirror in the Kennedy Room bathroom. I will not give the explanation away, but do ask about it when you visit. Do visit the Rosemont Manor for an afternoon tea or an overnight. It is an amazing place and Mr. Genda and his staff go out of their way to make you feel special. Top notch in every respect! Debbie Gathercole Winchester,VA

Our daughter had her wedding reception at Rosemont in May, and although I am a tough critic, I can honestly say that it exceed our wildest hopes and expectations. It is a magical place, and I cannot imagine a better venue for weddings. I also cannot imagine what prompted the one poor review, because the staff is extremely professional and competent. (I do know they have had occasional problems with guests being irresponsible (drunk), rude, and destructive, requiring that they step in firmly to remedy the situation.) As for the stink bug review, Id rather put up with a few stink bugs in favor of an environmentally conscious management. If you are looking for a place that is quintessentially "Virginia Southern," historical, has plenty of overnight accommodations that are not only comfortable but beautiful, beautiful grounds, and excellent cuisine, look no further. Worth EVERY penny and then some.

Just returned from my companys corporate offsite meeting at the Historic Rosemont Manor and we could not have have held it at a better venue! Bill and his staff were wonderful; very knowledgeable about the history of the area and as well as local attractions. They were also incredibly accommodating to dietary restrictions and preferences for our 3 days and 2 nights on the property. The facility was perfect for our group--with 40 people in attendance, we were able to have the grounds all to ourselves. The manor house, carriage house, studio, and cottages were perfect for team bonding, group events, and much needed R&R. I would highly recommend for any group or company looking to get away for a bit!

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding here last weekend. If you are thinking of booking a wedding then I would seriously advise against it. The innkeeper was rude and unprofessional. The "event planner" was snippy and barked orders at us like we were children. (I am 45 years old) If you have the wedding here you must use their caterers and believe me when I tell you that neither the food nor the service was worth 70.00 a plate. I am a business owner and I would be appalled if my employees treated customers in the manner that we were treated. If you want a joyful event this is definitely not the place!!!!!

Wow! I would not recommend this B&B to anyone. While the rooms are opulently furnished, and the staff is nice and competent, the managements decision not to use pesticides results in many stink bugs in the rooms. We rented the Roosevelt suite and killed 7 stink bugs the first night, and 5 more the second night. There were three more in out room on the morning of our departure. We had to take care not to pack them in our luggage. They are everywhere. The heebie jeebies kept us up throughout the night, wondering what was crawling on us. Not romantic at all. We will not be staying here again.

Fantastic! The house and grounds are absolutely beautifully and meticulously maintained. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and all of the staff members were very friendly and helpful. In addition, the town of Berryville is lovely with several great small shops and eateries. There are dozens of great wineries only a snort drive away as well as the Shenandoah national park and skyline drive (amazing!). I would absolutely recommended this place to anyone looking for some relaxing time away. I will definitely visit again!

The Manor was very quaint and cozy, but we stayed in the Byrd nest cottage which was nice since its more private. Breakfast that was served was also great and the manor is close to lots of wineries where you can do tastings at a fair price. My only complaint was that the cottage had a lot of bugs, but its a very outdoorsy kind of place... So that was almost unavoidable. The inside of the cottage could be a little bit more bug-free though... Had a good time overall though.
