I attended a wedding there June 5 2010 and found the grounds and room were quite nice and the pond added atmosphere. The food and service at the restaurant were fine and in keeping with what we expected, The problem started that night. There was a major thunder storm. Rain came in through the sky lights in some of the rooms dripping on the bed. The lights and water went out. There was no generator serving the guest area only the office. Theres no phone or wi fi in the guest areas only where the office is. Later in the morning the power came back and it was ok. Un fortunately no one seemed to care that the guests couldnt shower or were inconvenienced. The wedding went off well except for the mosquitoes dive bombing the guests and having a feast of their own. Later the next day the water went out again and we couldnt flush toilets or use the Jacousie that we paid for. When we asked for some compensation for the lack of service and inconvenience there was a we couldnt care less attitude from the manager. She felt it wasnt their fault that they had a defective water pump and that was part of the ambiance of being in Vermont. Bottom line lots of nice places in the area I wont go there as long as they dont seem to care about the customer.

Beautiful, comfortable, quiet, gorgeous, immaculate... all the adjectives! We stayed a spring weekend and the place was almost empty. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent, particularly the comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. The grounds are beautiful as well, with great walks on country lanes. The place is perfect for a couples getaway or a group. The riverside and bridge would be perfect for a wedding. The only con is the somewhat dated decor, if that is important to you. Definitely worth the few minutes drive if Okemo is your destination.

We were staying at a cottage by the marina in summer 2010 and decided to drop in for dinner one night. The food was good and the waitress, we believe she was Swedish, was absolutely fantastic. A few days later my friend and I thought it would be nice to go to the spa and get a pedicure. We didnt get any service and the girl at the front desk couldnt have been more apathetic....too bad! A beautiful spot, needs someone to train front desk staff in sales.

My wife and I booked a fly fishing leson through the Hawk Inn. The lesson and the facilites were terrific. We had an opportunity to learn and practice on Hawk Inns stocked trout pond. A great experience.

Wonderful rooms, spacious and comfortable. Gorgeous scenery with plenty of walking trails and places to hike. A great place to get away and experience Vermont.
